The Pheasant Lane Mall is a two level super-regional mall located in tax-free New Hampshire. The 1,000,000 square foot mall opened in 1986 and attracts over 10 million customer annually.
One of the largest shopping malls in the state of New Hampshire, the 1,000,000-square-foot (93,000 m2) Pheasant Lane Mall is the focal point of the commercial area in south Nashua, New Hampshire.
Currently, the mall has more than 150 stores and kiosks, including 4 anchor stores: Target, Sears, JCPenney, Macy's, plus 15 restaurants. As of 2008, it is owned and managed by Simon Property Group of Indianapolis, Indiana. Former anchors were a Jordan Marsh that became Macy*s in spring 1996, which closed in early 2006 and moved into the former Filene's; and Lechmere, which closed in fall 1997 and was rebuilt into the Target in fall 1999.
Located off Exit 1 of the F.E Everett Turnpike/Route 3 in Nashua and Exit 36 of Route 3 in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, the property straddles the state line, although the entire mall is in New Hampshire. Approximately 1/3 of the parking lot and water runoff area is located in Tyngsboro. Shoppers who park adjacent to the Sears store walk across the state line to get to and from their cars. The JCPenney store has a pentagonal shape to keep it entirely within New Hampshire. Were the store to still have a square corner at its south end, the entire store would be subject to Massachusetts sales taxes.
Size and proximity to the border have long drawn shoppers from Massachusetts seeking to take advantage of New Hampshire's lack of a sales tax. http://www.simon.com

The Robert S. Peabody Museum is one of the nation's major repositories of Native American archaeological collections. Major collections include materials from the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, Mexico, and the Arctic, and range from Paleo Indian (10,000+ years ago) to the present day. Since its founding in 1901 through the bequest of Robert Singleton Peabody, the museum has been an important center for archaeological research and education. An 1857 graduate of Phillips Academy with a passionate interest in archaeology, Peabody wanted to encourage young people's interest in the sciences, and to foster respect and appreciation for Native American peoples who have inhabited this hemisphere for thousands of years.
Today, the museum continues its primary role as a teaching museum and unparalleled educational resource for Phillips Academy and the community. Museum programs strive to:
Study and preserve the record of Native American cultures as reflected in archaeological, ethnographic and documentary collections.
Serve as an educational resource for teaching archaeology as an interdisciplinary science at Phillips Academy, in the greater community and for the interested public.
Teach understanding and appreciation of human culture diversity to prepare students, through knowledge and respect, to live in a multicultural, global community.
Explore interactions and relationships between the social sciences (human behavior) and the natural sciences (the physical world).
Include Native American people as full partners in the preservation and appreciation of their culture.

Holman Stadium is a baseball stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire. It was constructed in 1937 as a multipurpose stadium by the City of Nashua. The stadium is named for Charles Frank Holman, who contributed $55,000 for the project. Holman Stadium, which also was funded by money made available by the federal government during the Great Depression, was dedicated to the youth and people of Nashua in memory of Holman's parents.
Owned by the city, it became home to the Nashua Pride, a baseball team in the independent Atlantic League, in 1998. (In 2006 the Pride switched to the Can-Am League, and in 2008 the team was sold and renamed the American Defenders of New Hampshire). Another non-affiliated team, the Nashua Hawks of the North Atlantic League, played at Holman Stadium earlier in the 1990s. Prior to that, several major league teams had farm teams based in the stadium, including the California Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Brooklyn Dodgers. Official seating capacity is 4,375. Holman Stadium was upgraded in 2002 from a plain seating bowl to a stadium with luxury boxes and a press box on top of the grandstand. It is located in a residential area of Nashua.
Holman hosted what is considered the first integrated U.S. baseball team in the modern era, when Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe played for the then-Nashua Dodgers in 1946.

Daniel Webster College (DWC) is a for-profit[1] proprietary college in Nashua, New Hampshire with a professions focus.
It was established as the New England Aeronautical Institute, associated with Boire Field, in 1965, but merged with its Daniel Webster Junior College division in 1978 to become Daniel Webster College.
By the mid-2000s, the college was having financial issues and failing to meet "financial responsibility standards" of the United States Department of Education, a measure of economic viability. In 2009, Daniel Webster College received a score of just 0.5 out of 3 on that scale, with 1.5 considered passing.[5] Faced with the prospect of losing educational accreditation and federal funding, both of which would have forced the school to close,[5][6] it was acquired by ITT Educational Services, Inc., the parent company of the ITT Technical Institutes[7] in June 2009, and subsequently became a for-profit institution.[9] http://www.dwc.edu/

Boxford State Forest - Danvers Massachusetts Hikes
This walk through the woods doesn’t offer steep climbs or views, but for its proximity to civilization, Boxford State Forest offers quiet trails and glassy ponds, with signs of beaver, deer, and birds all around. The path traces the shore of Crooked Pond, then climbs the gentle Bald Hill before descending to the stone foundation of the Russel-Hooper Farmhouse. It closes the loop with a short stroll on a paved road. Hikers will be rewarded here for keeping their eyes open for signs of wildlife— it’s easy to find squirrel nests in trees above piles of broken, shelled beech nuts; and deer have left their tracks and scat everywhere, some quite near hunters’ deer stands. And the historic Russel-Hooper Farmhouse at the base of Bald Hill—today just a crumbling stone foundation—is a sign of early inhabitants, who cleared the land and built the stone walls. The state forest is adjacent to the J.C. Philips Wildlife Sanctuary, and part of its land is protected by the Essex County Greenbelt Association. Hunting is permitted in some areas here, according to season. There are no blazes or trail names, but numbered intersections aid in navigation. There are no motorized vehicles allowed in this wildlife sanctuary, so the trails are in great shape, although they can be deeply flooded during the spring melt. Bald Hill itself is part of the Bald Hill Reservation, a 1,624-acre plot split between Boxford State Forest, the Philips Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Essex County Greenbelt (and thus between the towns of Boxford, North Andover, and Middleton). Protected here are ponds, wildflowers, and historic landmarks.
