Located just 20 miles north of San Diego, The Inn sits in the center of the exclusive village of Rancho Santa Fe, "the most desireable place to live in America." Many of the guest rooms are located in individual cottages surrounding the main building. Each cottage has it's own sun deck or patio. May cottages feature a wet bar or kitchenette and wood-burning fireplace. Two-room suites and private cottages with a large livig room/parlor can be reserved for informal meetings or hospitality suites. The Inn can accommodate groups of 10-100 in our newly refurnished and unique meeting rooms. All meeting rooms have large windows, which offer bright and natural sunlight. Guests can enjoy San Diego's sunshine and fresh air when their meals and breaks are served in one of our beautiful garden settings. The 23 acres of ush green lawns and flowering gardens offer countless recreation opportunities including an outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi, exercise gym, tennis courts and a regulation English croquet lawn. My husband and I stayed here for a night for our 2nd anniversary. It was not crowded as it was mid week. The place is beautiful, the room was very nice. We had our own little backyard seating area with fireplace. The staff was very helpful. The place was undergoing some renovation but it did not affect our stay. We enjoyed the pool, happy hour, and restaurant. Harry was the bartender/server and was helpful, enthusiastic, and all around an upbeat personality. « less

We have been visiting "The Inn" for some years and have never been disappointed. This is our little piece of "heaven" nessled in the sleepy villiage of Rancho Santa Fe. Beautiful grounds and lawns make a perfect seat to watch the afternoon sun go down. Always been so lucky with our rooms (the Magnolia) rooms are fabulous and offer even more seclusion and privacy. Be sure to have dinner early, the restaurant and bar do get quiet by 10, however a stroll down to the village will give you some after hour, drinks at Millie Fleurs. Take a stop at L'Augerge in Del Mar for lunch before heading up to Santa Fe and a drive down to Georges in La Jolla on the way out. Beatuiful, quiet and relaxing - we love the Inn. « less

We stayed at the Inn At Rancho Santa Fe for two nights for Valentines Day. The Inn is the most peaceful & restful place we have encountered on any of our extensive travels. The cottages that make up this beautiful property are very sound proof and comfortable. We never heard loud talking coming from outside our cottage, never heard talking or noise of any kind coming from the occupied cottages surrounding ours, not even water running or a toilet flush. Of course being a week-day, there were no children that we saw anywhere on the property, which just added to the great enjoyment of our stay. We have raised our children, and now look forward to getting away without the screaming, yelling and crying of children who are not disciplined, we didn't allow that type of behavior in public from our children, we certainly don't want to tolerate it from someone elses. It isn't totally the fault of the children, as there isn't a lot to offer in the area of Rancho Santa Fe Inn for children, so they do get boared easily, and in trying to entertain themselves, they tend to be loud & disrupt others. It is unfortunate that people will insist on taking children to a resort such as this. It is a shame that there aren't more resorts of this caliber that have the courage to say "No Children, period". It was a sheer pleasure to be able to enjoy this fabulous resort without children present. There are far too many places that families can go, and not enough places that are limited to adults. We had breakfast both mornings in the dining room which was very tastefully done. The food was excellent & each plate had a very nice presentation. The service was excellent. We were attended to by more than just our waiter, but our waiter was right on top of things and checked on us making sure we didn't need anything. The grounds at the Inn are beautiful and very manicured. A lot of attention to detail is evident throughout the Inn, not only on the grounds, but in the cottages, the dining room, the food, and the service of the staff is exceptional. We asked a staff member who was in the area of our cottage where the nearest ice machine was, and without hesitation, he offered to go get the ice for us. We look forward to our next visit. « less

The Inn reminds me of a Bermuda "cottage colony" hotel - individual little buildings scattered throughout the landscaped property. The staff was laid-back and so friendly - they always took the time to really help answer all our questions about how to get places and what to do on the way. Loved the food. We were there on vacation and we had planned to try different places in town for breakfast, but after two mornings on the outside patio, we changed our minds and ate there all five mornings. Being an avid gardener from Massachusetts, I found the open green spaces and flowers (even in February!) a welcome change.We built a fire in our room every night and read the paper on our own patio every afternoon. A wonderful inn located in a pretty little town. « less
