I stayed at this hotel with my family of four, my mom, her sister, and my cousin. The two room villa was huge; even bigger than the house I rent in Ohio! It really felt like we were renting an apartment. It was very clean. We swam in the indoor pool and my daughter and cousin even ventured into the outdoor pool, even though it was chilly outside. Every area of the hotel was very well maintained.
When checking in we were sent to get our parking passes, where we were told they could save us some money on the aquarium. In order to get our 5 tickets for the aquarium for a total of $25, we had to listen to an hour and a half presentation about their vacation club (time share). They wanted us to buy a deed which was similar to a time share. We listened to the presentation, you couldn't beat the savings on the aquarium tickets! We declined and were sent on our way with our gift. The rest of our stay was great. We walked right down the hill to all of the attractions. We drove up in the mountain on the scenic trail, which was one way and GORGEOUS!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had no problems at all during our three night stay.
The only surprise I had was the $115 hold they place on the room until you check out. We were traveling so I took out all of my money and had all cash. They put the hold on my card, which caused my account to go negative. The next day I complained and the clerk took care of it for me. I will remember next time to leave the money in my account. I don't travel much.
Our entire experience in Gatlinburg was amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! We had a blast.
ALSO-when you check in, they give you a card with the manager's home phone number and cell phone number and tell you to call him with any problems. I thought this was great! I never had to call him though. « less

Booked this hotel for the final couple of nights of our two week US road trip. Had expected to find a normal Holiday Inn nestled in a remote and quiet mountain village. Got that wrong on both counts! Hotel is OK but not your usual Holiday Inn. Easy underground parking. Good reception staff, although we had to wait 30+ minutes for our room having arrived at 3.45 and was reminded checkin was 4pm+ which is rather late compared with everywhere else we stayed. Two negatives with this hotel. The outside open corridors to your room and the fact it serves no food, not even breakfasts! We had booked a Villa (expecting a Villa in the grounds) but that turned out to mean a suite on the 8th floor which was OK but you know what it's like when you have expectations! Secondly, Gatlinburg is not a quiet mountain village, it's like a mini Blackpool. Again, that's OK but a bit of a shock. Overall, this Holiday Inn provided us with accommodation but did not standout in any areas compared with other hotels we had experience during our trip. « less

We stayed at this property for our girls weekend. We had a wonderful time. It is within an easy walk to the heart of Gatlinburg's strip. Lots of shopping and fun things to do. The property is very clean and updated. We loved having the kitchen. The rooms were so comfortable and the beds were very nice. It is a luxury property. One night we needed ketchup and the front desk brought some to us. They have a nice indoor heated pool and hot tub. We were also able to have an AWESOME Massage Therapist Roger Bailey that came to the room. He was absolutely amazing. I personally have had a lot of massages in my life and he truly knew what he was doing. His prices were very reasonable for the service you receive. It was so nice to not have to leave the room. He comes to you! We will be staying at this property again and again. We will also be having Roger give us massages again too. What an awesome experience. We will never forget. « less

I wish we lived closer to this "vacation club", because we would definitely be back with our family. Our room was upgraded to a two bedroom, two bathroom suite, even though we expressed that it was far more than we needed. However, because we are priority club rewards members and it was my husband's birthday, this was the suite we were given. Just beautiful, with a balcony that had a babbling brook outside - what more can you ask? The staff was so wonderful, Don the manager was so personable and reassuring that we felt comfortable. However the best story was Audrey. My daughter in Mass. wanted to have a bottle of wine delivered to our room for her father's birthday, not realizing there is no onsite bar or restaurant. But Audrey went to a local liquor store and brought back a bottle of very good wine! The suite was perfectly outfitted, kitchen and everything! We are so impressed that we have made a reservation at another Holiday Inn Vacation club in Vermont. We hope it's as spectacular. « less
