Seasonality of Gatlinburg, Tennessee
If you're trying to visit Gatlinburg during their low season, you should head there during April or May. Historically, those two months see the fewest visitors, so you can probably expect lower hotel prices and a less crowded time on the mountain trails. May and October offer prime hiking weather, since the summer months can be a bit too hot to be comfortable for folks looking to explore outdoor activities. One of the most popular times to visit is in fall, when you can see the entire mountain range change colors. Late September through early November are the best times for fall foliage, but autumn is also peak tourist season.
Best Discounts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Whether you have AAA, AARP, or a military discount, you want to know you're taking full advantage of your potential to get discounted hotel rooms. We love visiting Gatlinburg. It's a tourist town, so it's always crowded, but there's a lot to do: listening to live music at numerous locations, endless dining and shopping options, awesome trails with gorgeous views, numerous waterfalls, etc. But please respect the wildlife by viewing from a distance.

"There Is So Much To Do"
Score
4.0 / 5
Great place for a couples or family retreat. There is so much to do in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Seiverville area. We have to go back just to do everything we want to experience. We were there for five days. The two standout activities that everyone extremely enjoyed are the Ripley's 5D Theatre and The Soul of Motown show at The Grande Majestic Theater. Excellent fun and everyone kept talking about those two activities. My husband and I certainly want to go back to The Soul of Motown show. The food at the show was excellent as well. We went to a lot of restaurants and the two that stood out was Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co. and Mama's Farmhouse. The Ripley's golf courses are well maintained and the themes are cute with interactive characters throughout. Can't wait until our next trip to the area.
