I've never understood why the more stars a hotel has the less the patrons get for their money. I really did not like that I had to pay for parking at this hotel. I also didn't like the restaurant prices. Luckily there was a Dunkin Donuts right across the street, so I got my breakfast there and saved $10-15.
The hotel itself was nice, clean, and quiet. My room faced the freeway, and other than the occasional honking during rush hour, I never heard the traffic. Everything worked nicely, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was super helpful and nice. Overall, I'm pleased with the stay.

Chose this hotel because of proximity to location in Boston....while on the 6th floor, the road noise was still enough to wake me at a way too early hour when the trucks began to roll. Also, some sort of train also runs which makes an interesting duet with the trucks. If you can request a location away from the thruway, might be better. However, with Max and Leo's great pizza a short walk away, this does compensate for the shortened snooze time. « less

This is the perfect location for parents of college students living in the Allston/Brighton area. It is a snap getting around that area and parking allows for frequent ins and outs. Be sure to bring your noise cancelling headphones -- we had a room on the fifth floor and it sounded like the train was barreling through a few feet below. Nice amenities and the bonus -- Max and Leo's Pizza right across the street. Staff doesn't really have a good handle on the area, but the 57 bus that is right outside the hotel goes into the city and stops near the T for connections. « less

Nice place, helpful & friendly staff, super fast wifi. Rooms were quite comfortable, we were on the 4th floor and honestly weren't bothered by the traffic on the Mass Pike (Get Up Kids fans will get the title of this review btw). The traffic noise wasn't overwhelming by any stretch. Would've rated a bit higher but for someone like me who isn't familiar with Boston public transport we had trouble getting back out here from downtown, not the hotels fault, but would make me think harder about where to stay if I came to Boston again. « less

The old expression "what have you done for me lately" is why hotels need to stay on their toes to keep customers coming back. The location for me is family driven. It is ten minutes from the inlaws. The hotel actually sits directly over the Mass Pike extension into Boston. The last time I was here I had a room that was above floor eight . This time I was on three and the noise of the road could be heard. So the higher the better. The room was clean but had flaws. First room had an AC unit that sounded like a swamp cooler. I did not flinch and called front desk for a change in rooms. No problem doing that but the desk said "we cant guarantee the next room will be quieter". Huh? The AC unit was in need of help and any room service attendant would hear it as well. Why this was not reported before is a good question.
When my room was changed to another nonsmoker queen bed I was given a lower floor and was now located to the nearest room to the gym. I was not impressed that this was the best room they could give me. Since it was late and the gym was empty I did not argue. Oh yeah the AC was very quiet in this room. Of course in the morning the treadmill stomp of an early rise could be heard . DO you think this room is left for complainers? Oh yeah the nite light on one side didn't work, When I looked at it the head fell off and the wires were exposed. Ugh!
More detail inspecting would help prevent these complaints. The bed and pillow were good. The blanket not so good. « less
