We booked the hotel for a group meeting. From the very first day we had problems with room reservations. Rooms smelled of smoke. Sofa beds provided no support for people who slept on them. Our group included several people who used wheelchairs. They were told that there were no restrooms on the first floor near meting rooms. We found out on day two that there were restrooms next to the meeting rooms. In addition, one of the rooms that was to have been ADA Accesible did not have a shower spray hose as indicated. The shuttle service was only sporadically available as it was broken down.

The service was very inconsistent from worker to worker. For those workers that were consistent, they did a good job, but the ones who are not consistent overshadowed the good. Today, everything is about service. Unfortunately, service was too poor for an average rating. Not sure if workers understood the group that was being accommodated. We can all learn from this stay. I hope that the workers can receive customer service training. Tony, the night security did a good job with customer service. He helped us deal with a situation at 1:00 am when someone was checked out of their room upon return of an afternoon-night visit downtown on Saturday. He seemed to understand and not get confrontational with us about the situation that we were in. I really appreciated his assistance and he might be a good person to identify with helping other staff members be more consistent with service. I hope this help others who might stay at this location in the future.

"Problems from the start"

The problems began the first day of check in when two people in our party did not have rooms and continued until the day of check out when they gave away the room of one of my party while he was out sightseeing! There are several staff particularly the breakfast worker, the houskeeping supervisor (hispanic) and the group coordinator who were helpful, however the rest were uninformed and lacked any problem solving skills. We paid for meeting space and then told that the only public restrooms were on the second floor. Two days into the meeting we found bathrooms in another room about ten feet away. This meant that for two days people in wheelchairs and with other ambulatory challenges were made to travel to the second floor and traverse smoke filled hallways to use the bathroom! The rooms smelled like smoke, the bedspreads were stained and the couches are in disrepair. The pullout couches were so worn out they could not be used and one couch collapsed when a woman (5'1 110 pounds) sat on it. Stay away!

"Mouse in room and a lie in location"

When booking this hotel I was told it was downtown. It was not. It was in a dangerous neighbourhood, the taxi driver warned me not to go out in the area by myself. There was no restaurant or room service, and there were two mice running around my room. I stayed the one night and promptly checked out and had to find another safer hotel. I am a woman travelling alone for business and this was an unsafe situation where false advertising played a terrible role.
