We chose this hotel due to its price but noted the mixed reviews. We felt the same. Great location (near highway on/off, near multiple restaurants, but also far enough off the road to be quiet. Positive. The front desk staff was very nice and made a pleasant start. Positive. But the outside of the hotel is very dated and looks sad. Negative. Then we had to cross a puddle of garbage smelling water to enter the interior hallway to reach our room. A big negative, almost to the point of causing us to cancel our reservation. But the room itself was spotless and featured new beds (4 pillows each!). BIG positive. It looked renovated recently, everything worked and looked very nice. Another Positive. The bathroom (a key point for us) was very clean and again well kept. Positive. But the room was also hot, and despite the window air unit running on max cool from 5 PM the room was still so hot that we had trouble sleeping (even on the very soft beds, sadly). The window unit just didn't put out much air, and it wasn't cool at that. Big negative. But the morning wake-up call was made by a person (expected a cold machine), and the friendly wake-up was another positive. We didn't use the pool, but it did look clean and inviting. Overall we would stay here again, but wish they'd fix the A/C!!!! « less

We picked this motel because of the ok reviews we read. However, I would not stay here ever again. We checked in about 5pm and proceeded to try and get in our room. The key would not work, went to the desk and got re keyed. Tried this one, did not work. We were moved to a different room and the key worked. It seems you have to fiddle with the door handle and then it will work. Then, we found out that the ac did not work. The whole building either is on heat one cool. So, if we wanted cool room, everyone got a cool room in this part of the building. After a while the heat came on because someone complained about the cold. So our room got really hot. We were moved to a smaller room where the heat and air is by room, not building! We have never been a place where all the rooms in a building were either on heat or cool. We are Diamond members and have stayed in over 100 Choice Hotels. I don't think that I have ever had such an odd experience. « less

I had to go in Braintree area (25 minutes away) and this was the most affordable Choices Hotel option available (other then not so great Econolodge, Rodeway or other under 2 stars motels).
Well, I must admit they did improve a few things : room seems cleaner... Wifi is better... But still Motel Style hotel which should be under $50 a night!!! But I had to pay over $85 !!!! Very expensive Boston area!!!
Acceptable for one night while travelling!!! « less

I stayed here a few times as I traveled in this area for work. The price was very good, the rooms are quite clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel. It is a basic, comfortable room for a very reasonable price. I reccommend one of the rooms in the front so that you can park right in front of your room. « less

As Betty Davis states, We had to find shelter as we and the whole area lost power during this past blizzard in February. I booked this in the am, on line for $86. By 2 pm they were charging people $106 for these dumpy, mildewy smelly rooms. They took advantage and price gouge people that had no shelter or heat during the aftermath of the storm.
This place is so outdated, like a 50's Motor court. It is not a hotel at all but a motel motorcourt, The poor guy handling the counter had no help at all nad he was not the owner. Saw the owner's in the am and they couldn't speak English or simply choose not to. Total rip off!!! This is not a Quality Inn that peole associate with the name. It should be the Dump Inn. Bad place. « less
