Perfect location, close to Times Square and Broadway, walking distance to Central Park. The check in was efficient and the room was just right for a traveller on the go! Coffee machine facilities just perfect - if you were really doing all your self catering, you could not ask for more. Comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast in the morning was a neat affair. No fuss, just what one needs for a start to the day. The concierge was fabulous and saw to all our needs for Broadway. « less

OK I'll get this out of the way - yes the elevators take awhile to show up but if you remember that this is a 40 floor building full of people who are all using them around breakfast and 5pm - 7pm you wil be ok. I'd also ditch the free breakfast which while nice was a bit too crowded...you can walk to the Teleon Cafe about a block away and get a decent breakfast for $5 and get out to start your day.
The staff were great, the hotel has great views on the high floors and there is a secret roof deck that gives a nice view of the west side. There is no bar in the hotel but the slowly revitalizing west side has no shortage of places to go with Tir Na Nog next door and Beer Authority around the corner. The layout of the room can be odd and yes its a NYC hotel room so it is smaller than average but its a good experience.
Oh one other tip - in an effort to be green they have those Gym Shower pump things of Shampoo and Bodywash in the showers. That didn't phase me but its worth noting if you are planning a stay (oh and since its NYC there is a Duane Reade around the corner).
Did I mention that there is a full fridge and a microwave in the room? « less

When we arrived at the Hotel I was really surprised how central it is. The Time Square was only a few minutes away. The Check In was great and as requested we got a really nice room with a wonderful view of New York City including the Empire State Building. The Room was very clean but quite small (although it was a superior room), but that is typical for New York. The room was a bit noisy due to other guests and the elevator. But I had no problem to fall asleep. We never ate breakfast because the breakfast area was not comfortable at all and was always crowded. When we saw the buffet we decided to take the breakfast elsewhere. However, I really enjoyed my stay in New York. And if the prices stay the same I will go definitely go back to the Hotel. « less

This hotel has all of above. Can't really fault it. Lift wait was really not an issue, sometimes no wait at all, sometimes up to 5 mins. When in New York there is lot's to do, and your hotel really has to be functional but comfortable place to rest your weary feet and sleep. Element does that. Perfect. « less
