For this price range of hotels I felt the Ramada in Murfreesboro was well above par compared to other places I have stayed. As others have mentioned the hotel is under renovation right now. The hotel lobby is very nice as it is finished and the room I was in on the ground floor was also complete. The new bed was excellent in my opinion and the bathroom was super clean (which is a biggie for me). The halls had a funky smell to them, but that is because the carpet has not been switched out yet. Front desk was friendly and I will stay here again.
Only major compliant is having to pay $10 extra a night for a ground floor room. I think that is a poor way to serve your guests. Should be first come first serve instead of trying to up-sale your booked price once you arrive. The area down the road from the hotel is a little on the shady side, but the Ramada had plenty of well lit parking and I noticed quite a few security cameras to help put me at ease. « less

Charles was awesome this hotel is old and poorly run. I work for the railroad. I have to stay at the motel eight days at a time. I like to be comfortable, you cannot be comfortable there in room 225. They wanted to charge extra to have a room downstairs. This hotel shouldn't be on our CLC LIST.

The hotel was relatively ok for being an older hotel but it was under construction at the time we stayed there. Most of the staff was polite but there was an older man that seemed to be in some sort of managers position who probably did not belong in customer service. They has some large very comfortable chairs in the lobby and one of the friendly desk people suggested that they were more comfortable when sitting sideways with your legs over one arm. My employee sat like that only to be yelled at by the older man mentioned above when he entered the lobby. Even after being told that an employee told him to try the seat that way the man was still irate. No apology so no future business from me or my company. « less
