They are renovating the lobby and some other parts of the property but they maintenance is sliding away. Our room the door lock didn't work - when we called in the morning to have it repaired it still had not been worked on by the time we returned at 9pm. The guy then showed up and fixed it.
The room number fell off and instead of fixing that he just took it. The bathroom door would not close.
The security door on that end of the building (you know the one that says if you open it an alarm will sound) stood open the whole weekend and had apparently been that way some time - from the amount of leaves and debris that had blown in. They wanted me to join their club but I don't think I will stay in another sheraton if I have the choice of a hilton or hyatt.
Location off the highway was convenient and the staff was friendly. We were concerned about the security with all the broken doors/locks. « less

If I'd stayed at the Best Western nearby, I would have had easy walking access to several great restaurants, including a British-style pub attached to the hotel. The Sheraton Framingham is surrounded by highways and light industrial development: nothing is within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was expensive and the food mediocre. Room rates were twice as high as any other hotel in Framingham, and for that nothing is complimentary: you pay for Internet access, breakfast, etc. I've always wondered why budget hotels give you complimentary wifi and breakfast and expensive hotels want to charge for everything. The printer and fax machine at the business center were out of paper and you had to go to the front desk to ask for supplies: this delayed a print-out while I was in a hurry to get to a meeting. Otherwise, staff were friendly and did their best--including the service at the restaurant, which was far better than the food. « less

Stopped here on a business trip and found myself at the farthest possible end of the property, with a non-functional television, and a room that was dated and less than comfortable. On the way out, I mentioned my concerns, was promised some hotel points as a remedy, and surprise, those were never credited either. There are lots of other rooms, so I may have gotten the late arrival shuffle - but with so many other nearby hotels, there isn't much need to find out. « less

Adequate (barely). Getting long in the tooth; especially in the bathroom (Room 404). Varnish on vanity/sink is badly scratched, door bottom is delaminating and ceiling tile retention strips in shower are rusting (and mildewed). Room was clean and bed was comfy but was overpriced ($150+ incl tax) for what appeared to be a 1970's "Holiday Inn" style hotel dressed up to look like a tacky castle. It is a great location but I would not have stayed there if I had not been attending a conference. There appears to be some facility refreshing underway but I hope it's not just the bar that's getting the attention. Originally charged $9.95 for Internet until I objected. Thankfully, they quickly (and politely) adjusted the charge. « less
