Back in it's heyday this was probably a nice place to stay. The pieces are still there. But no one seems to care to make them fit these days. Ended up staying here because the Beale Street Music Festival tends to book everything downtown up and the prices soar at the places not filled to capacity. While they could use a facelift, this place has the makings of a decent hotel, if anyone who worked there cared enough to make it so. Checked in to find there was no refridgerator in the room. When I asked for one I was told they would look for one. End of subject. They weren't concerned. Ran into another customoer who was trying to take advantage of the free non working WiFi. He got the same response. Woke up the next morning to take advantage of the free continental breakfast and asked where I would find the coffee...I was told coffee was not provided. I won't even bother about the old tv with the remote that didn't work, it was the least of my concerns. I did go looking for the fitness facility they advertise only to find a door chained to block entrance. Basically nothing advertised on the website is true. The bar and the restaurant are both closed for service. And the staff only comes short of saying that they really don't care. Stay elsewhere. I will. « less

I visit the Memphis Airport Hotel and Conference Center around the end of March,2013 to check it out to see if it was someplace I wanted my family to stay for our family reunion. Upon my tour through the Hotel it was very clean the room's were very resort like looking they reminded me of the room's you will see at a resort, The front desk clerk was very courteous and very eagerly to help made us feel very welcome. The Management staff work very well with us and was very professional in the way that handled our reunion plan's we were so pleased with them that we went ahead and booked the entire family stay with them. I do recommend you try it for yourself and find the experience we did with them and you also enjoy your stay. « less

The first night, we could not open the door to our room. We were given another room and after several attempts the door finally opened. There was a musty smell in the room. I went in the restroom to take a bath and saw hair on the dryer handle. Once in the tub I saw a puddle of "pee, pee" around the toilet. The water was cold even after letting it run for several minutes.
We could not log into the supposedly "free Wi-Fi" service. The bathroom floor had not been mopped since got there nor was the carpet vacuumed. I know because I purposedly left tiny pieces of paper on the floors and they were there when we got back.
I was soo glad we didn't have to pay for the sorry breakfast because we were given free breakfast passes for the inconvenience of the rooms. I had to make my own waffle (which wasn't a problem), but two employees told me two different times when the waffle would be ready(no indicator light). When I took it out it was very, very hard and the gravy was too salty.
After complaining about no hot water, we finally received it on our last night. Also, the door was too close to the toilet and bath tub.

It has taken us 6 months to write this review as we wanted to see if it improved since our stay in Sept 12.It obviosly has not. We booked 4 nights on a b+b basis and wish we hadn't.Room was on 4th floor.Slidfing window that did not lock, safe for kids?A smoke detector that was hanging from the ceiling.Wires sticking out of the air con unit, filthy bathroom, used and unused condoms under furniture. Breakfast on polystyrene plates and plasic knives and forkes.Paper cups.3* no way. Decided to take an evening meal one night and we had fried chicken which was red!!! There are obvious areas for planting flowers/shrubs as earth was in place,so why no greenery? Overall inside it feels like and looks like a jailhouse.Unfortunately for Memphis this jailhouse did not rock. Do yourselves a favour AVOID. We have photos we can put up if management disagree with this. The PM duty manager was in the room whilst i took them. The best thing about this hotel apart from check out is BIG A one of the drivers, salt of the earth bloke.Hope you enjoyed your vacation to the Ocean buddy. « less

Was placed here after Delta canceled my flight. It is truly the definition of an airport hotel. Dirty, smelly and it doesn't feel safe. My door wouldn't shut properly unless I slammed it and then the latch placed over it. There are 2 lights missing shades, so they are just exposed bulbs. The heater is so loud that it will keep you up through the night. Avoid at all costs. « less
