Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and another couple .The hotel is situated in a quiet street in the French Quarter.The street runs parallel to Bourbon St. but does not have any of the associated madness . The hotel is an ideal spot from which to explore New Orleans ,close to the trolley system,harbour,French Quarter and the main shopping area.All are within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean. Staff are excellent,especially reception where I found them to be extremely helpful. The Restaurant is very pleasant although it only serves breakfast.The bar is cosy but doesn't serve coffee. Would recommend this hotel for a short tourist stay. « less

I went to NOLA with a bunch of friends during the Easter week-end and this is the hotel that we chose. I had read a lot of reviews about it (good and not so good) and was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. We got there around noon and our room was not ready (as expected) so they kept our bags in a locked room no problem. When we returned at the check-in time, our room still wasn't ready. This was the only hitch during our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean. There was only one chair in the room and with four of us staying there, it was kind of annoying. I wasn't sure about the beds, as many reviews mentioned they weren't great, but I found the mattress comfortable. The pillows are folded into a square – which is a bit odd – but we fluffed them out and they were OK. We had asked for an outside room with a balcony. The balcony is shared with other rooms (so don’t forget to close the drapes when changing) and there were only a few seats for all the rooms. It was nice to open the doors to the balcony and enjoy the outside. The room was quiet, one night we heard the neighbors a bit but nothing major. The pool is very nice and the deck has many tables and chairs, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The location of the hotel was good, not too far from Bourbon Street. « less

I stayed here for the first time during JazzFest and was very impressed. We had a large group and the hotel nicely accommodated us all on the same floor. We had a very large room with a small office area. Our friends stayed across the hall in a smaller room and we definitely appreciated the extra space.
The location is fantastic. It's about a block off Bourbon, conveniently located to everything but in a quiet area. The hotel was very quiet during the entire stay. I didn't hear anything from our neighbors (inside the hotel or outside). The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was pleasant and they held my luggage after I checked out of my room, before going to the airport. « less
