My wife and I had been fans of Ameristar Kansas City ever since it opened. We felt it was like our yearly trip to Las Vegas without having to travel so far! Since she passed on in 2005 I still try to visit every couple of months--not quite as much fun since she is gone but still is a great one night vacation. The rooms are outstanding and the price is reasonable. I especially enjoy the fact that you have the theater in the facility--it always has one or two shows on that I want to see. And the choice of restaurants is another special facet of Ameristar. Also the personnel everywhere are friendly and well informed. All in all I really enjoy the place. « less

Me and my husband decided to stay their for our one year wedding anniversary, May 14th 2012. When we went to check in, we told the lady at the desk that it was our anniversary. When we were done checking in before we left the counter, she said she left us a gift in our room. Well we started walking down the hallway and it didn't seem right, because we turned the corner to where our room was and there was only 3 doors i believe. We put the key in the door and opened it, and WOW! My eyes got huge and the jaw dropped! We were expecting a regular room but the girls at the desk upgraded our room to a king suite with whirlpool tub! LOVED IT!! She asked us if we wanted a later check out time but we never caught on to that. We will be staying there again in the very near future! Love Love Love it! « less

This is a top Casino and Holel in the Las Vegas type experience. It is well maintained and has very friendly staff. All the places to eat are exceptional and worth the price. Many choices. The rooms are all well decorated and clean. I have to have a handicapped assessable room and they are alway large and roomy with roll in showers. The Casino is large and has many slots that are changed monthly. Does not have a pool or fitness center. « less
