Stayed for a few nights. Loved being able to have Celestial Seasonings herbal tea upon returning to the hotel in the evening. Room was kept very tidy. A little towel & washcloth sculpture was on the bathroom counter. Breakfast was o.k., nothing special. Egg patties has some liquid cheese in the middle. There was a pancake machine (I did not try it.) Other items were biscuits & gravy, dry cereal, bananas, milk, yogurt, bread, bagels, cinnamon rolls, juices, coffee, tea & cocoa. Price was inflated due to nearby graduations. It is a bit tricky to find! « less

Easy access to a multitude o dining choices. We were too busy visiting and sight seeing to try the pool area but it was always busy and appeared very well kept. The free breakfast offered a variety of choices and the fruits were always fresh. And the staff... They were great!!! We will stay here again when we come back. « less

Will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. We were in town visiting relatives and needed a break from all the "togetherness." Stayed 2 nights the week before Christmas. Lots of parking, pleasant check-in, nice folks. We arrived in the early evening and there were fresh cookies in a bin in the reception area for the kids - huge hit.
The best part though is that this hotel has a sort of "mini" waterpark with a two story slide that goes outside the building and loops back in, and a little kiddie area with a small scale slide that looks like the kids are sliding down a frog's tongue. My daughter was by herself and made friends easily both times with other guests/kids. The pool attendant even offered to keep the pool open for us a little late the first night since we got there late....he was very attentive and accommodating.
The room had a working refrigerator, AC/heat worked with no issues, room was very quiet, and the toiletries were replenished with no issues. We ate at the breakfast buffet two mornings and food was hot, fresh and the "usual" variety and the service area was clean. They have coffee and hot chocolate available 24/7 (free).
Definitely a cut above other HIE properties I've stayed at in terms of the pool area -- this is a terrific idea that I hope they implement in more of their properties. The service level is below that of a standard Holiday Inn (i.e., no room service) but definitely a step above with the nice pool. Will definitely stay here again when in town. I didn't rate this a "5" because they don't have room service or services that I would expect of a hotel of that caliber. The only downside I found was that the entrance was not clearly labeled and I drove by it twice before figuring out how to get into the driveway. Go - enjoy, especially if you have young kids/tweens. « less
