PROS: The hotel is very well located near 6th Av, near many cafes, restaurants and shops. It is nicely decorated. The restaurant in-house offered great food at great prices, just order your meat cooked higher than you'd like. I ordered medium well and got medium rare. The rooftop bar was charming. The iron provided in the room was very good, and there were brand name toiletries in the bathroom, but bring your own shower cap. none provided. We decided we needed to stay two more nights, but the hotel wanted $700/night. Not the way to treat a customer.
CONS: Our room was on the 8th floor, facing the street. I heard cars honking, people yelling, traffic noise and there was construction work that woke us up very early in the morning. The AC in the room made a lot of noise. The ironing board in the room was useless. The closet was ridiculously small. The rooms are kind of small, like in many other hotels in the area. The elevator situation at night gets complicated with "bouncer" type guards don't allow hotel guests to use a certain elevator(s) because they need it to escort people up to the roof top bar. It gets annoying, but I guess they do it to make sure random people getting in the hotel's hallways.
I hope I never get to stay there again. I would go again to the restaurant and the rooftop bar, though. « less

Only issue: Rude security in the lobby on weekends can be aggressive with the elevators if you are not going to the rooftop bar. Found it very rude to be grabbed and held so others could use a lift first to go up while i waited. « less

Nice and clean hotel room, decent size. Staff were nice to me and let me do a late check out which was very convenient for free. The roof top bar is very lively and it seems that locals, not with the hotel often go there. Good places to grab food close by. About 25 min walk to the park, 15mins to times square and 10mins to Macys/Penn Station. « less

We got a good deal on this one as my husband is diamond member. The hotel lobby was very lively on a Friday night. It was actually earth hour so I'm not sure was it because of that or every Saturday. We got a room on upper floors, away from the elevator. Ask for that if possible, otherwise you'll hear the elevator arrive... Room was good, even if it was a little cramped, like in Europe. My complaints were to the slow elevators which took forever to arrive. We also felt that the breakfast was superslow, even if decent quality. On last days we decided to go out for breakfast to have it faster. Pros for this hotel are the location which is very central! There are metros around the block, Macy is quite nearby and Whole foods around the corner. « less

Good location. Away from the noise of Times Sq, but only a short walk from the main attractions and close to two subway stations. Bedroom was small, but great modern decor. Bathroom was also very good and the full length window makes a big difference to the room and brings in a lot of light. Great value for money at $175. Lobby was also nice and modern and hotel staff were very friendly. Hilton website doesn't do the hotel justice. « less
