Best room might be on the second floor, Palm trees wouldn't block view as much. Best view looking north towards Dana point w/lights at night. Flat screen TVs with lots of TV stations. « less

Pictures on the website were no true. Room I was given had numerous issues. The door to enter the room had a gap of 2 plus inches that combined with the windows that were permanently open with no hardware to close them letting in all the noise from the roadway and the cold, the strange droppings on the sills of the windows along with the dirt the rotted painted over window trim outside, the un-lockable balcony door, the graffiti on the awning on the balcony, the hidden TV in the closest that can be only watched from one location on the bed, the old furniture. The service from housekeeping that is nonexistent, i left the room in the morning, returned after 4pm and found the room untouched. Do not know why the hotel pays no attention to providing a suitably nice room. Everything seemed to lack the touch the they hotel should provide their customers. Very disappointed when I was told I was getting their best room. Not even close. Very unhappy with my experience. « less

My Husband and I just stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. We did not want to leave. Affordable rates, spacious suites, ocean views, jaccuzzi, free breakfast, free parking, free internet service, free daily newspaper, and being uncrowded describe what a hotel guest will enjoy. Right across the Pacific Coast Hwy, is Capistrano Beach with Doheney Beach just down the way. We walked from our hotel to the Dana Point Marina and took a whale watching tour, ate, and shopped around. We liked it's central location between San Clemente and Laguna Beach. But the best part was that we sometimes just wanted to stay in the room and have our breakfast on the balcony watching the waves and the trains go by. The trains are fun to see and hear. Also, our suite had a refridgerator, a microwave, and two flat screen tv's. There are a few restaurants nearby to walk to. The staff was friendly and we definitely want to come back again. « less

We just returned from a quick family trip and the location was fantastic. We got a double king suite which was very spacious. Furnishings are average and dated, but nice t.v.s and cable that worked well and had many channels. The room had a beautiful ocean view and large balcony. Yes, it was noisy at night from neighbors and upstarirs guest, but the price and location are unbeatable. We drove across the street for beach access, but you can also walk as there is a bridge over the highway. Ther is a train track across the street, but I didn't notice much. Breakfast was good- waffle maker, juice, bagels and toast. We will be back! « less
