Our location in the French Quarter is ideal. We are footsteps from the Central Business District, Bourbon Street, world-class Jazz Clubs, renowned restaurants and shopping, and within walking distance to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Harrah's Casino, The Aquarium of the Americas, and several other major attractions.
Hyatt French Quarter has recently undergone a $20M renovation of the entire hotel; guest rooms, meeting space, lobby, lobby market, bar, business center, Hyatt Stay Fit. Our guest rooms are oversized and also have 12 foot ceilings in each room, being a historical building in New Orleans. Guest room amenities include, Hyatt Grand Bed, in-room coffee makers, irons and ironing boards, iHome clock radio, hair dryers, in-room movies, high speed internet access, mini refridgerators, laptop size safes (complimentary). Other unique features balconies overlooking Bourbon Street, our garden courtyard, Hyatt Stay Fit, Business Center and outdoor pool and pool bar. In addition, we boast over 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, all easily accessible on the lobby level. Your guests will receive the individualized service and attention that a seasoned traveler expects. They will notice the full service benefits of a larger convention hotel, yet they will also enjoy the personal attention they would receive in a boutique hotel, as we have only 254 guestrooms.

So there were some definite pluses to this property. It was clean, newly decorated, had a nice bar and small restaurant, nice pool (although the people were sketchy), and beautiful high ceilings in the room.
cons- at first I considered the location to be a good thing, but the smells of bourbon street are NOT good, and the noise kept me awake/woke me up ALL NIGHT. My husband, who sleeps literally through everything, was woken up several times through out the night because of the noise. The staff is a little incompetent and doesn't know very much about New Orleans, and we were charged for room service that we did not order. We got it taken off, but if I had not specifically asked which charges, they would have charged my card without showing me a print out first. I guess for the price I expect more. « less

Lovely hotel! We traveled to New Orleans for a friend's wedding. All of the out of town guests and wedding party stayed at the Hyatt. It was close enough to all of the activity of the French Quarter but not too close to keep you up all night. The rooms were big and very clean. Our room opened up to a charming courtyard - nursing a hangover with the blind open to a thunderstorm made for a relaxing afternoon. The hotel staff in the bar and in the breakfast place were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would stay there again! « less

Great stay at the Hyatt FQ, just off Canal and Bourbon Streets. The staff was consistently friendly and professional. We had a room on the fourth floor with a balcony overlooking a lovely, quiet courtyard. The room was quiet and clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom was a generous size with Kohler fixtures and upscale toiletries. I particularly liked the cool grayish-lavender walls and color scheme in the rooms. Perfect location for exploring the French Quarter. « less

Lovely hotel very close to the hustle and bustle of bourbon street. Our room (467) had a balcony with a Suntrap. Generous sized rooms and an above average sized bathroom. Entry key mechanism superior and effective. Only issue was that there were no handrails in the bath/shower and no place to hang used towels. Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard or pool to minimise disruption at night. « less

Amazing stay for 4 nights, Used a Diamond Suite upgrade to an oversize connector suite on the top floor over the pool. It was very quiet at night, great sleep! Steps from Bourbon St and so many great restaurants. (Bayonna, just around the corner on Dauphine for one) Staff always there for any need, as well as a watchful security eye in the evening hours, much appreciated. Breakfast in "Powdered Sugar" is OK, free for diamond members. The bar had competitive prices and great service, just poor wine by the glass, Canvas really is bad. Will return soon. « less
