Stayed at the hotel while visiting Pittsburgh to see baseball games at PNC Park. The hotel is convenient to the ballpark (across the street) and downtown and is clean. The only downside was the price, but it was Pittsburgh Marathon weekend and most every downtown hotel was at or near capacity. « less

We booked 2 suites here for 1 night for the Pittsburgh Marathon this past weekend. Everything was perfect for our stay. The service, amenities, cleanliness and location were exactly what we needed. I know a lot of reviews mentioned room noise, and I was concerned, but I slept great and so did 2 others in my party. My brother who stayed on the couch closer to the door/hallway said he heard noises through wall, but that's to be expected. Our room overlooked parking lot, so not highway, which I think helped. And the rooms are HUGE.
Walk out the door and in the middle of wonderful bars/restaurants. It was vibrant and an easy walk to the start line on Liberty St over the river. Gorgeous weekend. '
I would stay here again if we wanted to be close to downtown/sporting venues and the nightlife. « less

Excellent location, nice room, great decor, BUT BUT BUT tons of noise on the highway side of the building. Seems to be the story of my life as regards Springhills in Pittsburgh. Need to remember to ask about NOISE. Southside Works Springhill has the damn train behind it; North Shore has the Interstate. It is a nice place, great location, 2 minutes to downtown, but noise (was in room 1019, top floor, rear of building, highway side) was awful. Might as well have been sleeping in the middle of the Interstate. Wish I had read the other reviews on this side first. Others have mentioned the freeway noise. Not cheap for sleeping on a freeway. « less
