Pittsburgh, PA is the 2nd largest city in Pennsylvania is known best as the “Steel City” and the “City of Bridges.” It is also the home of many Fortune 500 companies like PNC Financial Institution, H.J. Heinz Company and US Steel. This city has also led innovations in the areas of glass, aluminum, electronics, etc. There is also variety of cultural activities to include music, theater and museums plus offering Rivers Casino and Kennywood Amusement park. The downtown area, also known as the Golden Triangle, is between the three rivers and is the most popular spot for meetings. The David Lawrence Convention Center is located in the heart of this area and can hold any type of meeting/convention. Peak season is April June and September October, where prices will be higher and limited availability. During November March is off peak where you can get economical pricing and more availability.

"Pittsburgh is better than ever."
Score 5.0 / 5

Hey, Pittsburgh looks better than ever! I grew up in the area, but haven't lived in the area since 1973. Every time I come back for a visit I see many improvements. It has been about 14 years since my last visit, and I am very favorably impressed. My priority on this visit was to spend time with family so I didn't have too much time for touring around, but I hope to be able to do more next time around. The city seems to be going through lots of positive change!

, from 27-Jun-2014
"Bridges and Skyline"
Score 5.0 / 5

The downtown buildings/skyline, the bridges and overall friendly city.

, from 15-Jun-2014
"Fantastic for Groups"
Score 4.0 / 5

For me, Pittsburgh is home, so I stayed with relatives, not our group. Pittsburgh proved ideal for our group's retreat, due to its diversity of attractions. We enjoyed fabulous food in outstanding settings (The Church Brew Works on Liberty Ave, and Jerome Bettis Grille 36 on North Shore Dr), as well as lots of fun at the zoo, the Science Center, and walking along Mt. Washington, viewing the cityscape at night. Most of our group had not been to Pittsburgh before, but all want to come back!

"An unexpected surprise."
Score 4.0 / 5

I lived in Pittsburgh three decades ago, just as the steel industry was floundering, and although I had (and have still) great feelings for the people, I feared for their future. Was I ever impressed! The city has bounced back marvelously; it is green beautiful, and interesting. The people are as friendly as ever (maybe even more so). Way to go Pittsburgh! You'll be seeing me again very soon.

, from 06-Jun-2014
"Exciting!"
Score 4.0 / 5

Pittsburgh is a beautiful, exciting city to visit with many interesting museums, galleries, a fine zoo and several theaters.

, from 27-May-2014
"Terrific Waterfront Vistas"
Score 5.0 / 5

The city of Pittsburgh was terrific. The bridges and the rivers flowing through the city were really amazing. We would gladly go again to this city.

, from 12-May-2014
"Party on Carson Street"
Score 5.0 / 5

One of the best party cities around. Way underrated and seriously underestimated. Carson street is huge and there is a ton to do.

, from 15-Apr-2014
"Confusing city"
Score 3.0 / 5

Confusing to get around and there were aggressive drivers at the liberty bridge.
