This is a nice hotel on the ocean with a pool, restaurant, and most rooms all facing the ocean. It is close to the airport and some shopping plazas and restaurants. But, you cannot swim in the ocean here. The beach is nice, but there is a coral or other hard material formation a few feet off shore that runs parallel to the shore that would make swimming dangerous. I heard one man tried to go over this barrier that is just below the surface and he got hurt. I am a strong swimmer, I would not attempt swimming here. So, if you are booking her because you want to swim in the ocean, rather than just look at it, find another place. « less

My Fiance and I came to Kauai to celebrate our engagement trip. We were upgraded to the executive ocean front room which was fantastic! They had free mai tais upon check in and every single night from 5-8. Travis (the mai tai guy and bell staff) was very accommodating in assisting us with our luggage and making us drinks nightly. The hotel is located in a great area right by the beach and many great shops and restaurants. We met the General Manager as well who was very friendly and ensured we had a great trip. Lastly there was no resort fee, just $14 a night for parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. « less

My husband, daughter and I arrived right before lunch, and our room wasn't ready yet, but they let us leave our luggage while we went for lunch. We ended up in an Ocean View room with 2 queen beds, overlooking the pool, lanai area and hot tub. The pool water was too cold for me, but our daughter didn't mind, and the hot tub could have been hotter, but it was a welcome relaxation just the same. There is a walkway along the beach that goes for miles - great for an after dinner stroll or jogging.
During our stay, we visited both the North and South shores, including Hanalei and Poipu, so the central location of this hotel is very convenient for both directions. In addition, there are several very good restaurants in the area. This was my second visit in just one year, however, my husband and daughter were very happy with the choice for their first visit. « less

Resturant on premises with full menu. Close to coconut marketplace. For a non timeshare, it is worth the money to stay and use as base for exploring the beautiful island of Kauii. « less

We loved the location, the atmosphere, the staff. The executive oceanfront room was awesome! Lots of room. Loved sitting on the balcony with the ocean so close. Beautiful views! The food was good and the service was wonderful. The bed was a little too hard for me, as I sleep in a Sleepnumber bed at home.The only complaints were that we left food out on the counter one night and the next morning it was covered in ants! We had to keep all our food in the fridge. (cold chips aren't so crisp.) Also, the pool got VERY dirty and they had to close it for a few days. We didn't actually use the pool anyway, but we walked past it going to and from our car. We will stay here again. « less
