I was in the area for 2 nights, I had only one issue with this hotel, on the first morning the breakfast was not fresh, like it had been left out all day, This was at 8am. The room was good and quite. Staff was nice each time I went by the desk, allways said hello. Plenty of parking. « less

Ver clean and modern looking hotel. Very spacious room - 2 queen beds and a sofa bed, with 2 TVs so no fighting over programmes! Beds, including sofa bed very comfortable. Room clean. Large breakfast area with good selection. Must admit didn't like the coffee served st Holiday Inns but that is probably a personal taste, added almond and vanilla milk to it to get a better taste. My husband and I stayed here for one night prior to a cruise out of Port Canaveral. Many of the other hotels offer parking for the duration of the cruise, but we opted to park at the port (which was a great decision--right off the boat and into the car, no waiting for a shuttle. It is not the newest or cleanest hotel, but it was adequate for a one-night stay. We opted for the top floor, which was a great idea since there was a large group of teenaged girls staying at the hotel. Even being on the top floor, we still had running and screaming in the halls all night despite calls to the front desk. All in all, it was a good option if you are crusing and parking at the port, but i wouldn't stay there longer than a night. The breakfast is included and had your basic options, but was one of the highlights. « less

I reserved this hotel several months in advance. It was an award night I received with Priority Club points. I requested a room on a high floor. We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 p.m., tired after traveling for several hours. There was a no vacancy sign up when we arrived. The guy working the front desk seemed a bit unenthused as he checked us in. He did not give us any info on the hotel, breakfast times, etc. When we received our keys, I noticed we were on the ground floor. I mentioned that we had requested a room on a high floor, and he replied that it was the last room left. Okay, fine; we went to our room. Upon opening the door we were hit with a very strong damp mildewy smell; quite overpowering. We also noticed stained carpet right away, and the bed skirts all crooked and bunched up in the mattress. REALLY?! Ugh! I walked back up to the front desk and told the desk clerk, and asked for a different room, and he of course told me that it was the last room. He really didn't seem to care. I turned and headed back to the smelly room, grumbling at how ridiculous this is. We checked the sheets to make sure they were clean and there were no bed bugs, cranked the air conditioner that wasn't working very well, and went to bed, hoping that we could sleep with the stench in the room. In the morning we checked out (were headed on a cruise), and thought we would grab some bananas and yogurt from the complimentary breakfast on our way out. There were no bananas left, and when I went to the fridge to get out yogurt, it was locked. The attendant was standing there so I asked if I could have a couple of yogurts. She said "breakfast is over with". It was 10:03 a.m. and she said breakfast ended at 10:00 a.m.! I could not believe it. At this point, I had enough of this place, so turned and just walked out. If we had paid for this night, I would have complained big time, but since it was complimentary I didn't waste my time. We will never stay at this hotel again, or recommend this hotel to anyone! Very poor service, and a gross room. « less

This hotel is in need of some tender loving care. Not as clean as I would like. Doubt if the area around the elevator has been dusted in well many a day. Grout around the bathtub is in need of replacing. Air conditioner is an older unit, noisy but if left on at least you can get a nights sleep. Check in staff friendly and quick. Breakfast area meat our needs. Would I stay again, not likely, unless it is brought up to standards I expect of Holiday Inn Exp.If using this hotel for a cruise out of the Cape, might just be better to use Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach and get free parking. « less
