We had a girl's weekend to Celebrate "Fiesta" in San Antonio and stayed for 2 nights. I must say for 4 woman staying in the same room it was pretty roomy and the bathroom was a good size. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly and very accomodating. We left on Sunday late afternoon and on the way home one of the the girls noticed she had left her work phone in the room. She called the front desk and they had her phone and they shipped it to her right away no problem!

This hotel is very typical of most of the Candlewood Suites I have stayed in except it has a pool and hot tub which is a nice bonus!! Overall, the hotel was clean, and I have no real complaints about our room other than the toilet quietly ran all the time and the shower curtain wasn't long enough so water got all over the floor every time someone took a shower. Other than that, I did find the staff to be slightly on the rude side ~ hanging up on you without letting you finish talking and without saying goodbye; that type of thing, but it wasn't intolerable. I only noticed it because this isn't typical of the Candlewood hotels that I have stayed in, although I have encountered one other that was much worse. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. « less

My husband and I stayed only one night and we had enough points for a free night. We thought the staff was super friendly and the room was great with a mini kitchen and large bathroom. Very clean. The only complaint was the sagging queen sized bed. The room was very quiet and the staff accommodated us to the top floor as we are preferred customers. We've stayed in a lot of Holiday Inn Expresses and the Candlewood Suites is much better even without a complimentary breakfast. The location was close in to Market Square, the River Walk, Alamo, AT&T Center, etc., and there was free parking. « less

We really enjoyed our stay at the Candlewood. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. The rooms are updated and very clean, beds are comfy and linens are of good quality. This hotel is in a great location if you want something close to all the downtown activity but far enough away to avoid all the crowds and congestion you have to deal at other downtown hotels and you get free parking here! You definately don't want to walk the neighborhood area especially at night because it does seem a little sketchy but the hotel property itself is very nice and well kept. Overall a good value and a very relaxful stay! « less

We were in San Antonio for Tejano Fan Fair, 5 days! After having a horrible expierience last year with the same trip I was very nervous this time around with my Hotel selection. I have to say this was the greatest trip ever, the staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. I called days in advance for a room preference, it wasn't promised to me but Gilbert, friendly staff member said "we will do our best" and surely they did. I arrived with no trouble at check in, houskeeping was on point and very respectful. The room was spacious and immaculate. We were on the 4th floor, we had no hallway traffice or noise, slept well and were greeted at all times with smiles. No trouble with elevators or communication. We were pleasantly surprised that the room basically had its own kitchen, this saved us money on going out to eat. It was a home away from home. Thank you Candlewood Suites for such an amazing and memorable stay. « less
