I stayed for only one Saturday night. This hotel hosts activities at the pool every weekend. I requested a quiet room, facing away from the pool. I was given a third floor pool in the main building, farther but still facing the pool. This time there was a loud childrens' sports team end of season party until 10:00 pm or so. I ended up going out.
The hotel needs to enforce the sound level limit when they rent the pool area. Most of the time music and speeches are so loud that you hear it inside your room with your windows closed. Not all guests that stay in this hotel wants to party, they need a good night sleep because they will work or travel the next day. The hotel needs to consider guests in this matter.
Be advised that parking spots in this hotel are very narrow, even for sub compact cars. There are also many elderly casino clients who take most of the available parking spots. If you carry luggage, be ready for a long roll-in and roll-out from the parking lot.
Otherwise, the room was very comfortable, very clean, the A/C system was now better and quieter, and the mattress was great. The Cable TV lineup needs to improve. There is no HD signal and there are many channels that have the "No reception" message. « less

We arrived at this hotel April24 and stayed until the 27. It was a very nice and well kept hotel with a large casino connected to it. Like most Marriotts there was a large pool for adults and a wonderful pool with slides and other for children. The rooms were large and service was good. Ramey AFB was closed many years ago but the airport is still in use for commercial traffic. Nearby is crashboat beach, the old Air Force rescue boat docks which has an outstanding clear water beach and accompaning park. The beach is safe for all, but it does not offer good diving, snorkelling. North of Aguadilla are many other beaches along the coast towards Isabella which are beautiful and awesome to see, but are basically for surfers. « less

I just read the reviews because I'm planning a trip to this area of PR next month. After reading the reviews I must write my experience although it occurred in May 2009. We live in NY and were enjoying our 2nd stay at the marriot resort & stellars in San Juan, but my husband and I rented a car & drove to Aguadilla for a friend's wedding. The bride & groom stayed at relatives homes before the wedding, and other relatives & friends stayed at hotels in the area of Rincon. According to the reviews there hasn't been a change for the better in 4yrs. Owner-I urge you to work with your staff to meet the needs of your guest. During our stay the restaurant service was very SLOW, including hotel check out. Perhaps you can send your staff to San Juan for training. I found out that the owners of this hotel are not the same owners of the marriot stellars resort in San Juan. Although it is also named marriot, the owners only have the franchised name. That is the problem with this hotel, but the owners can make it a lot better if they want. Please make it a better place to stay!!! Thank you « less

Stayed at the Courtyard and it was nice, but nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly, the rooms were ok, but the thought of sleeping in an old Air Force Hospital was a bit odd. The food was basic and the casino appears to attract older locals. There is a pool play area for kids and that seemed nice but no place for my lap swim. Will likely stay at a different place next time I go to the west side of Puerto Rico. « less
