A decent, medium cost business hotel. It is situated at the railway station serving west of the country, but quite far from downtown and tourist attractions. Not very easily reachable from the airport for a first times. There is a bus from the airport to the station at a price of 8€, but not very well signed at the airport. At the station it is easy to find. The fast train from the airport takes you to the other side of the city from where you have to take metro or taxi. Taxi from the airport to the hotel takes about half an hour (at rush hours up to an hour!) and costs about 40€.
I got a renovated room (I knew to ask!), that was quite small but otherwise OK. Meeting rooms were spacious, but AV capabilities of yesteryear. Coffee, fruits and snacks served during the two days of intense working were really high-class: tasty, beautifully set up and abundant. Bandwidth for WiFi was reasonable. In my room the signal was weak and caused several times the loss of connection. Breakfast was pretty ordinary, the dining room was small and crowded at 07:30. « less

The Mercure West Bahnhof is in an excellent location, just one block from the train station and subways. The hotel was clean and very quiet. The staff was excellent. We were first given a room which was supposed to be non-smoking but wreaked of cigarettes. We told the counter clerk and was without fuss given a smoke-free room. One would hope they can eliminate cigarette smoke residue from all their rooms. One should not have to ask for a different room. Otherwise, this was a good experience. « less
