I've stayed here several times for a conference, and I believe the Clarion has both positives and minuses.
On the good side, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the nightly rate was fair and the staff was friendly and willing to help. On the negative side, the free wi-fi that the manager mentions a few reviews down was either horribly overloaded or simply inadequate. In either case, a consistent, steady signal was impossible to receive in my room. Others at the conference had the same complaint. And the morning breakfast buffet was bland, even if it was plenty and inexpensive.
The hotel does offer free coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch, but the coffee itself tends to be a bland hotel roast. If you like coffee, you'll probably be better off going across the parking lot to the Starbucks that's in the Target store. We received two-fer coupons to the bar; it's always good when you can get two Yuengling drafts for $3.
Overall, there are far worse places to stay, and if you find yourself in Batavia, the Clarion is convenient to the Thruway, clean and pleasant enough. There's nothing at this hotel, however, which makes it stand out, which is why I rate it as "average." « less

Waterpark was perfect for my toddlers, and although it wasn't huge, it was perfect because no matter where I was in the park I could still see my kids. Front desk staff was very curtious and willing to help with all of our needs, and they also had someone bring us tooth brushes, paste and a comb that we had forgot! I will be recommending this hotel and waterpark! « less

My family lives in Rochester and my cousins family is in Buffalo - so for us this was a great meeting place. The kids had the best time in the water park and everyone working there was wonderful. Rooms great size, Oasis restaurant on-site was great for both dinner and the breakfast buffet was enjoyed by all. « less

The room was nice my kids had a great time in the waterpark their favorite part were the slides I loved the spa. They also had a breakfast buffet in the morning the food was great. The staff in the hotel were awesome they were their whenever we needed something we woud definately stay again.

The water park package offered by the hotel in conjunction with the Palm Island Water Park was a great value. Te package included overnight accommodations, four water park tickets and a credit toward a delicious breakfast buffet. The water park was perfect for our five and two year olds to have fun together and my husband even took advantage of the two larger slides. The rooms/bathrooms were a bit outdated but otherwise clean. Great overnight close to home! « less
