We have stayed at the Sheraton Gunter several times over the past few months and I have to say that it is my favorite hotel. It is a classic Texas hotel with a wonderful history (Robert Johnson recorded in room 414.) Today the hotel is in pristine shape. I am an SPG platinum member that stays in a lot of hotels and have NEVER received the level of service that I have received at the Gunter. The front desk staff is great, Amy is a genuine pleasure, Christopher is a good manager. In my opinion what sets this hotel apart is the club lounge. Benjamin the Club lounge manager is in a word phenomenal. He takes care of guest like family, he prepares special snacks and he alone is the reason for my last two multiple night bookings as the Grand Hyatt was closer to my conferences, but the extra distance was worth it to have Benjamin's service.. Benjamin is extremely attentive remembers his guests and makes the club lounge feel more like a great lcocktail party than a stuffy lounge. « less

My family and I can not put into words how well BENJAMIN, in the club lounge took care of us. After a long day on the road with kids. It was so nice to have access to the club lounge. From the moment we walked into the lounge. We where greeted with a smile. Benjamins' outgoing and charismatic personality was what we needed to calm down after a long horrible day on the road. Then only to find him the next morning with a wonderful spread for breakfast w/ a smile. Now Benjamin deserve great props. He was able to handle my family and believe, that is no small task. My wife and kids are very demanding and can be a handful. Benjamin and his special way, was able to keep up with us and handle any and all things that got thrown at him . He truely is the GEM of the Gunter Hotel. He will be the reason we come back. Keep up the great work BENJAMIN. You are what customere service should be.
