Stayed 2 nights and though expensive, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. because the staff try so hard to make a difference.
Exceeded my expectations, from the small club lounge area for breakfast on 7th floor, to the sped of pick up when waiting at JFK Federal Circle at midnight. But best of all was everyone I met used their initiative to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
Some examples - I missed the shuttle bus by one minute going back to the airport - my fault. The receptionist insisted I had a free coffee as I had a 30 minute wait. But next minute the shuttle driver had taken it upon himself to loop back and pick me up - as they'd radioed him to see how long he'd be. And he insisted in helping me check which terminal I needed for my flight.
The wifi is excellent, the staff friendly, the evening free club food better than expected - a very nice discovery. Well done to all the staff. I don't suppose the hotel is physically much different than all the other airport options, and it does cost more than most, but I found it value for money. « less

we stayed here the night before an unexpected snowstorm. ordinarily i wouldn't stay at the airport in ny, but we were afraid we wouldn't make it out to the airport for our onward flights once the snow started falling. the hotel's a coupla miles from the airport, and, as reported, not the quietest rooms i've been in. but that was more than compensated for by the friendly welcome, and highly personal service we received--from the people at the front desk, to housekeeping, to the shuttle bus driver everyone seemed delighted to have us stay there, and willing to do whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable. and it was! « less

I only stay at this hotel when there is no other choice. I've had to stay there when my first choice Courtyard Marriott was booked. Rooms are small and both times I've stayed there there was a lot of noise. I arrived at Federal circle and called for the shuttle. Half an hour later no shuttle called again and the person at the front desk seemed amused at my anger as it was freezing outside. They then told me that I could have taken the hilton gardens shuttle to the sheraton. This hotel is off my list of places to stay in the future « less
