The airport shuttle drivers and the front desk personnel were great, however, we won't stay here again when we fly out of the Kansas City airport because the walls are paper thin - you can hear your neighbors talking in their normal talking voices! I expected better from this chain. Another minor negative was that they did not list their "weekend" breakfast times in the breakfast area - I only found out Sat & Sun serving times were later when I asked at the front desk. The biggest problem we faced was that when I booked the room through Hotels.com, I booked the Park 'n Fly Package - was I ever surprised when we arrived and found out the parking was only for 1 night! We had to pay for the extra days we were gone - yes it was cheaper than at the airport by a few dollars but their website was misleading to ME! For the price they charge along with extra for the park and fly price, we'll stay elsewhere. « less

They actually use real pillows and not the half pillows that are found in so many Fairfield Inns. There is a downside. I have an extreme allergy to all molds. Each morning when I wake. I can't breath and my eyes are swollen shut. Room appears to be mold free so it has to be in the air conditioning system.
Bed appears to be new and firm... no back issues upon waking... just can't breathe!
Staff if okay... as a "Marriott Gold Member" no room upgrade without looking in at the computer. Then they offered a room upgrade to the person that checked in right behind us. « less

I hope we were able to upgrade you when you were here. As a valued Gold Rewards member we certainly would like to upgrade you however it is based on availability. We typically upgrade Platinum Marriott Reward members each morning. Then we upgrade Gold Rewards members if a suite is available.

We stayed here prior to our early-morning flight our of KCI. They offer a "stay, park, fly" option, which allows guest to park on site for the length of their trip (max 10 days). It only cost $30 more than the room to park there for seven days. The rooms are pleasant -- nothing fancy, but we didn't need that. The breakfast was wonderful -- so much more than breads, cereals and fruits that many others offer. Choices included yogurts, cereals, muffins, eggs, other breads, fruits and waffles. The shuttle is a short drive to the hotel and is included as well. If we ever have to fly out of the airport early again, we will definitely stay at the Fairfield again. « less

The additional cost does vary but the average is an extra $30. When you figure that the economy parking at the airport is $7 per day, it certainly makes sense to stay. Our breakfast has many new options that we just started such as scrambled eggs and sausage patties as well.
