The Crown Reef Resort is located at 2913 S. Ocean Blvd. with all oceanfront accomodations. We have over 20 pools and spas and a 575 foot lazy river. We also have 2 on-site restaurants in the hotel, the Crown Cafe and Treasure Chest. If golf and attractions are what your looking for, we have a golf desk as well as a concierge service on-site. The Conference Center is located directly across from the hotel.

I have viewed tons of pictures, reviews and prices and I like what I am seeing in the photos but am worried about what people experienced. I have planned a last minute trip because my elderly father in law has had some medical problems come up and he needs a get away!! I chose this hotel for price, the view and the pools!! All I hope is there are clean sheets and room and the view is nice!!! An most of alli don't run into problems giving it's a couple days away and I've always booked in person NEverr online. I am used to staying in the worst hotels but this trip I planned I want to be special because we may not get to go to the beach together again. CROSSED FINGERS also I really like that ppl at the hotel write back to the reviews! I only hope y'all care just as much about when I get there!!! « less

On the good side, the pools that were being used were clean and the lazy river was a neat feature. The beach view from the balcony was great...but it goes seriously downhill from there. Our room was soooo outdated and in need of serious repair. Furniture was worn and grungy, appliances were rusted, wallpaper was falling down....it just felt dirty. We walked around the rest of the site and found the same, plaster falling off the ceiling, old rusted AC units not working. The whole place just seemed old and forgotten. If ownership tried as hard as the employees to make things work, they might pull it off....but I have to believe that there is just not money being put into this place...and it shows. Even with the positives I mentioned, I just dont think I could go back without some serious renovations. « less

We had the best view of the ocean, the appliance were a little out dated, but I am on vacation. I did not spend much time in the room. The free breakfast was the best I ever had at an hotel. Checkin was a little wierd, we had to checkin at the conference center which is across the street from the hotel. We did have a Groupon deal, still enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and nice every speaks to you in the hallway and ask you if you need in any thing. The is on the quiet end of Myrtle Beach, so if you are looking to get away with out all the noise of Grand than this is the place for you. I would stay here again. « less

It makes me sad to say but this hotel is in great need of a remodel. Our room was a queen room with kitchen, the fridge had rust all over it (yeah, the kind of fridge you may see in a garage) the stove as well with the bottom of the stove about to fall off, the bedspreads were old and ragged..mold in the corners and just plain dirty. Nope, won't stay here again even with a groupon deal. You would think these groupon deals are to entice you to stay again, not here though. « less
