We spent a long weekend at Blue Moon Hotel and could not have been happier with our stay! The hotel is quaint, clean and has an amazing staff! Everyone was so accommodating and friendly - especially Alfredo!! The location was perfect - a quick taxi ride from the airport and then walking distance to everything including a short block from the beach. The hotel is on the small side but comfortable! We would definitely recommend it to friends and will be going back again. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented on the beach for about $35 - if you are planning on a few beach days, buy some chairs and an umbrella at one of the souvenir shops to save a little money and then pay it forward and give it to someone just starting their trip! A great hotel for a great long weekend! « less

I stayed here on business and was unsure what to expect because the price was (relatively) low for South Beach. The hotel is lovely - recently renovated I heard - and although my room was a bit dark, it was comfortable and very clean. I had dinner at the bar - very good fish tacos but a somewhat limited menu. The staff made the stay especially comfortable - they were incredibly helpful, friendly, and courteous. I would definitely stay here again. « less

We had a good time in the Blue Moon Hotel. The service staff was realy friendly and the service was great. They offered free coffee, fruit water and apples in the lobby. We didn't pay anything for the beach towles. So no additional cost! The staff on the recepion desk and in the lobby were very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and good equipped. Spent only one night at this hotel but will treasure the memory! A beautifully restored Art Deco hotel with all the modern conveniences sympathetically included. Rooms were on the small side but modern and tastefully decorated. The location was fantastic. Just one block back from the 'main drag' so quieter at night but still close to the action. We rose early and walked just a small distance and swam in the Atlantic as the sun rose, no crowds on Miami beach at that time! « less

I was here a couple weekends back for the first time. Service was outstandingly friendly. The size of the hotel was "just right". I thought the decor was great in that the Art Deco style was preserved while still pulling off a modern, chic vibe.
Mojitos at their bar were the best we found in South Beach....& we tried several places...;)
Breakfast poolside was great & don't miss the rice crispy French toast!! « less
