We chose this hotel due to their coupon offers and the quality of reviews on trip advisor. On arrival we were informed that they would not honor the discount coupon because they had a large wedding party booked yet they still had rooms available if we were willing to pay $30.00 over the coupon price. As we were tired from our drive up from Georgia we took the room but the refusal of the coupon disappointed us. On arrival in our non-smoking room the room reeked of smoke but when we advised the front desk they quickly provided us with another non-smoking room which was quite nice. We did enjoy the pool and access to the Piqua mall so this was a plus. On the negative side I was again disappointed in the fitness center the following morning as the treadmill had been removed, the TV was not functioning and the equipment showed obvious signs of rust due to the humidity from the pool. Breakfast in the morning was quite satisfactory, the waffle maker was great as was the coffee. In closing I have learnt that I should call ahead to inquire about coupons as there were many other nice choices in the area « less

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I regret that you did not find everything to your satisfaction during your stay. Unfortunately, we were without a treadmill for approximately 2 weeks while awaiting the arrival of our new one. We now have a brand new treadmill in place. I did check with the front desk to see if there had been any complaints about the t.v. not working in the fitness room and there was nothing noted in their log book, but I did write a work order for maintenance just to double check it. In regards to the discount coupon, I am sorry it was not able to be used due to the hotels occupancy level when you arrived. There are times through out the year that they may be declined due to availability and special events going on in the area and unfortunately Winter Guard International(April 10th-21) and a large wedding had us extremely busy. I am glad to hear you enjoyed our breakfast and that the staff was very helpful. We strive to make your stay enjoyable. I hope that when you are in the area again that you will give us another try.

Received discount coupon at Ohio welcome centre. As we were walk ins and hadn't been before it was quite nice to find such a friendly reception. They did tell us about the train, but the smoking rooms seem to be on the quiet side, so we went with the train. Yes the train is loud and often but they do place ear plugs in the rooms, which are clean and comfortable. so taking into consideration the low cost and free breakfast it was a better than expected. I have stayed in far worse for a lot more money. So being a little tired was not a big deal. The mall access from the lobby led directly to the malls food court so eating after a long drive also convenient. « less

I'll be first to admit that I'm not a fan of Comfort Inn hotels, but the company I work for is.
I had stayed at the Comfort Inn in Greenville, Ohio, and enjoyed my stay there. I wondered if my opinion of Comfort Inn hotels was completely wrong after my stay in this hotel. It wasn't.
I stayed in room 206. The room was cold when entered the room. I turned the heater up to 72 degrees, and didn't think anything more of it. A few hours later, the room was still cold, so I turned up the heat to 78 degrees. An hour later the room was still cold. I got ready for bed and went over to the heater to turn it up again. I found out why the room was cold. The heater wasn't working, it was blowing out Luke warm air, and the sound I thought was a freight train going by was actually air from the outside blowing into my room. The draft was so bad that I ended up taking the comforter off the bed and shoving it under the heating unit. I did this in an attempt to slow down the cold air blowing into my room. I went to look for an extra blanket in my room, that the clerk said was in my room, but it wasn't there.
I went to take a shower at 5:30 a.m., wanting to warm up after spending the night in an unheated room. The water was luke warm initially, then went completely cold. I would have expected there to be limited cold water between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m., but not so early in the morning.
Long story short. If Comfort Inn put the same effort in making their rooms as nice as the lobby and pool area, this could be a nice hotel. Instead they skimpy on the rooms and maintenance, and for those of us that just want a quite clean place to stay, we are sorely disappointed. « less

The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool is nice. Breakfast was good, with some different food selections and decent coffee.
The facility is generally pretty tired. The rooms have some tired furniture, and my comforter in a "nonsmoking" room had burn holes in it. They at least have a couple of updates like a modern TV and newer shower.
Cleanliness needs a bit of work. I was disappointed to see that there were electric shaver droppings on my countertop. It might seem minor, but it shows the lack of attention to detail.
The location at the mall seems good at first, until the freight train goes by in the middle of the night.
This could be a much better place to stay with some updating. « less
