We are centrally located in the heart of the Riverwalk which is a tourist destination. We are steps away to fine dining, unique shops and galleries. Our guestrooms underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in 2006. We are the longest consecutive recipient for the triple A 4 diamond award in San Antonio.

Top-notch room, great hotel personnel, wonderful breakfast that's worth the extra $10/room. Location is ideal. Unfortunately, a VERY loud family next door kept us awake the second night. Called security but there seemed to be little they could do about the noise, which finally stopped around midnight. We had to be up early the next day so we were tired. Parking is a bit high but is in a secure area -- probably worth the extra. « less

I've been about ten times to this hotel and everytime I want to come back. It's wonderfull location in the most beautifill part of the river with many restaurants depending on what you desire. The romos have just been remodeled they are very nice and comfortable, each onewith a balcony looking towards the river or the tower. On December 31st thats the place you have to be since the hole arty is in South Alamo Street full of fun, food, music and many other attractons at midnight the sky lightens up with all the Fireworks just look at the Price at that time. « less

This was our first visit to San Antonio and the staff went out of their way to ensure that it will not be our last stay at the Palacio del Rio. Logan exceeded our expectations for a great romantic weekend. He was attentive to all of our needs. He provided wonderful suggestions on places to visit as well as great dining experiences. He made us feel as if we were his only clients. He definitely gave us the "VIP" treatment and this made our experience all the more special. John was very helpful with not only directions to places we wanted to visit but also made wonderful suggestions on the best mode of transportation to these sites. Norma and Jesse at the Rivers Edge Cafe greeted us like family every morning when we ate breakfast. They were attentive to our needs but not intrusive. The above mentioned employees, as well as, all the employees at the Palacio del Rio helped to make this an outstanding experience for us and one that we will be sharing with family and friends. They made it very hard to leave San Antonio but we will definitely return to continue this adventure. « less

Overall stay was OK. Staff very friendly and courteous. Only complaints were noises from the train and people from the streets could be heard screaming at middle of the night even though I was on the 8th floor. Furnitures were also somewhat dusty. Food was OK but room service was very good. « less
