I read lots of reviews some goo some bad. Hotel reviews are very subjective. If u expect modern and luxurious accommodations this sis not the hotel for you. One has to remember that the hotel was built in the early 20s. Updating it to a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton would cost the hotel it's historical charm. Yes the rooms don't have 20 plugs yes the bathrooms are on the smaller side but were very functional 80 years ago. Does one really need a 200sq foot bathroom. The bathroom in my room was functional and most importantly clean. That in the end is what really matters. Those who posted negative results about the Parking fee give one example of a downtown hotel in NY or San Francisco that does not charge 35.00-65.00 per night to park. The valet was great, I called each time I needed my vehicle and it was ready by the time I came down. Only once did I have to wait about 5 minutes. The staff was polite and helpful. I will gladly stay at this hotel again and again. The service and history on the hotel is great. If you want and expect something more modern there are plenty of other choices within blocks. If you want to experience old school history and luxury from a time forgotten this is the place for you. « less

… and the first impression anyone gets of this hotel is fantastic. Opulent public areas and the staff were all very pleasant and attentive. The room we had was very spacious but a bit in need of a freshen up and I don’t think the windows had been cleaned since the Oscars were held there. Still, what a wonderful place to stay in. « less

We never chose this hotel it came as part of a package deal but we thought it was very nice! Room we had wasnt massive but it hit the spot and it was nice to hava coffee making in room and we used it to make tea too being british! We had a problem with our key but they resolved it so couldnt mark them down for that. Did a walking itinary from tripadviser that was local to hotel and saw lots of sites i would have missed! Nice to see older stuff of the real LA and stay within it! I would stay again. Nice place called blue cow up road to drink and eat. Soi 7 down past a few blocks on left is also a great thai to eat at. « less

A beautiful lobby and lobby bar! If only the rooms were anywhere as close as nice. Hotel has many people coming and going at all hours, which makes the hallways quite noisy. Underground pool and gym (although historic) are un-inviting and dark. Summary: those looking for a good gym, inviting pool / sun deck, modern / quiet rooms, best look elsewhere! « less

My friend and I stayed at the Millenanium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles while we were attending a conference in the city. The hotel's interior is amazingly beautiful - the carved wood and marble, the frescoes and murals, the crystal chandeliers, wood paneling, statues and general opulence make you wonder whether you have stepped into a palace. Although there is a lot of gilt and bronze, it is all very tasteful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but not luxurious. They probably haven't been redecorated in a while. But I was happy to be in a room with high ceilings and actual wooden shutters, which took me back to a different age. My friend used the Roman-style swimming pool and said that she liked it very much. During the conference, we went to a party that was in one of the smaller ballrooms and that was beautiful too. This may not be the hotel for you if you like clean lines, glass and chrome, but if you like old world splendor, it is definitely where you should stay. I didn't eat at the Biltmore, so I can't comment on the quality of the food. « less
