This hotel is in a great location & most everything with my stay was just fine. I was in town for the Rock & Roll 1/2 marathon. The night of my check in, the cable went out and didn't come back on until late Saturday night (my second night in the hotel). Was told by several employees that hike they were sorry about that, it was not their fault, but Comcast. For $300 a night, I expected to be compensated for this inconvenience. We should have received, a room rate discount, complimentary meal & drink vouchers, or even free parking! None of these options were offered. When asked about it, they said we would have to take it up with management who would be in the next morning. EDIT

Located in the center of Historic Downtown on a tree-lined boulevard, the Hilton DeSoto is indeed “the place” to stay while in Savannah and well known for its gracious southern hospitality. You can step outside our doors and take a carriage tour, browse quaint antique shops or walk to famous landmarks like River Street and City Market.In addition to our convenient location, the hotel features 246 guestrooms, many of which afford beautiful views of Savannah and the Savannah River. Each guestroom is furnished with an iron/board, hair dryer, coffee maker and dual phones with data ports to help assure a comfortable stay for your attendees.
