We stayed two nights at the Crowne Plaza. The rooms were clean but about average. I expected more from this hotel. The fitness center was great so that kind of made up for the average rooms. Had to pay for Wi-Fi, which did not seem right for a high priced hotel and they only gave you enough coffee for two cups each morning. You could get more if you asked to have it sent up but for this price I didn´t feel I should have to ask. The hotel staff was helpful and courteous and the one meal we ate in the hotel restaurant was excellent! Best meal of the whole trip! No continental breakfast was offered, which again, seemed wrong for such a high price! « less

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza last weekend for a conference. We stay here twice a yerar. They just finished a big remodeling and the lobby looks much nicer. The bar has been extended into a portion of the lobby and looks a bit awkward but there is more seating than before.
Our room looked fresher and and everything was clean. The corner floor lamp wasn't plugged in and we had to move the mattress to get to it behind the bed. Disappointing that only one electronic device per person can be connected to the wifi with a special code. That meant choosing between a notebook or phone.
I was surprised to see there were no tissues provided in the bathroom. I asked at the desk and they said the guests had to ask and they would send some up.
Did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there are many choices nearby.
Our meeting room was near the indoor pool and the screaming kids were a distraction. First floor rooms would have the same issues. Stayed on 8th floor and it was very quiet.

If you have a room facing the highway, be prepared for a sleepless night as the double glazing is very ineffective. Wifi was supposed to be free in all areas of the hotel but turns out that is only in the lobby. Breakfast is rather average, which they tried to charge me for despite being included in the room rate. Strange layout with the lift/elevator at the end of a long corridor away from reception. At least the room was clean. « less

I stayed at his Crown Plaza for a convention this past week. The hotel was clean and the rooms were clean and neat. What I did not expect was a $8.95 per day charge for Wi-Fi... I can go to Super 8 motels and get that for free and pay MUCH less for the room. They also wanted $10.00 per day for a refrigerator in the room..!!!! This is absurd. The restaurant was decent, we had good dinners there and the breakfast buffet was also decent. I inquired about the smoked salmon being missing on Saturday and Sunday and was told "we don't serve the salmon of the weekends". On a scale of 1-10...this place is average. They management is cheap and they try to milk every nickel out of the guests. Would I stay there again...NO « less

But the biggest issue is, a very rule book driven front desk not willing to accommodate even a 2 hour delay in check out (2PM). I had to check in at 3am and check out at 6am - still ended up paying 140$ for those three hours, as 2PM check out was not allowed. « less
