The Honolulu International Airport is 9 miles away from the Waikiki Resort area. Individuals may find that taking an airport shuttle when they land (no reservations needed) is the least expensive way to go. More than 2 persons should take a taxi as it will be less expensive to share. Taxi's cost about $35 one way and shuttles are about $10-$12 per person each way.
