We like the Oakes Hotel for its special package, the tower is a nicer part of the hotel. We always enjoy coming back every month or two and enjoy the package for a dinner at Remingtons Restaurant which we are always happy to enjoy a delicious meal and in the morning breakfast at Applebees is always satisfying. Recommend all my friends to stay there, but not in the courtyard which needs to be renovated. Beds have found not to be very comfortable and just walking to the rooms it is kind of depressing as it is worn out looking. « less

My Wife & I stayed at the Oaks for 3 nights on the 12th floor, with a falls view and the view was great, you do need to make sure you book a falls view not falls side, and because of the trees you need to be above around the 8 floor to get the best view, the hotel is a bit tired, but that it because so many people use it, our room was large and we had no real complaints, apart from the TV the picture was very poor, the staff were nice helpful and polite, and the over all experience was good, I had read some of the comments from other guests before I booked, so was very happy to see it was just a case of you cant please everyone, if you want a great view book above the 9th Floor or higher, for the price we paid I thing it was a good deal, and will go back there again « less
