It is clean and comfortable but just an average property, things are a little worn by age but nothing significant. It is a good spot for those wishing to walk to the museums and close to Metro station. Downside there are few food options nearby and most are fast food and close early so there is little options for evening meals. Staff are very friendly and helpful. « less

This hotel was very clean, the rooms, lobby and hallways - it looked like the carpets in the hallways were brand new. The suite was large and had many amenities. The location was great, close to the Metro. The hotel staff gave us a restaurant recommendation that was within walking distance and was a local gem. The included breakfast was a full breakfast, not just a continental breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. There wasn't much of a view, but we spent our time out in the city anyway. Parking was $33 per day, which is a little steep, but we had a good deal on the room price, so it worked out ok. « less

-The room was clean and large, the bed was comfortable, small but comfortable living area with a pull out couch, chair and a small table, a complete kitchen with a full size refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher! The room was quiet and I rarely heard outside noises. -The bathroom was clean and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The wash area was outside the bathroom and the sink had a large sinktop and plenty of draws so things did not need to accumulate on top. Housekeeping was so courteous! When the "do not disturb/I don't need service sign was up", it was honored. When I left the room and housekeeping was in the hall, I told them my colleague was still sleeping. This was meant so they didn't make up the room at that time. But housekeeping, who was actually just cleaning the hallway, quietly conferred with his co-worker, and they moved to continue cleaning in a different hallway! -Front desk/doorman-Said hello every time I went in and out, and it came across as sincere! -The breakfast was great and different every day. Eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, wraps, waffles, oatmeal, juice, coffee... A FULL and tasty breakfast. -Convenient! We walked to the convention center (5 min). We also walked to the capitol and the mall, though this was a long walk. The subway is a block or two away, so is an easy alternative.
-I would definitely stay here again. It was a bit pricey (though not so much for the area), but I did not feel it was overpriced. Rather, you paid a bit more but were given a lot in return! « less

And expensive for what you get. I stay here when I must, service and staff are just ok as well. The place is dumpy and expensive for what you get, but one of the lowered priced in the idle of DC, if you consider 289 per night reasonable! « less

"Everything went great. The hotel and it's Management anticipated our every wish and took care of us. It went so well that I have booked our conference there for next year. I have passed the web site on to others and will continue to do so. The Machinist Union is always setting up events all over the world, and I will continue to pass this information on to my brothers and sisters." S.C. - Biloxi, MS
