It was my first stay at this property and I had high expectations after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. The only real issue was the front desk staff being a bit disorganized. The check-in of my colleagues and I was handed off mid-stream to a different clerk due to an apparently unresolved but previously interrupted transaction issue with another guest. My colleague, who doesn't speak much English, was checked into a room that was already occupied. If the occupant was grumpy and/or violent, it could have easily turned into a dangerous situation. Luckily, the occupant simply explained to my colleague that the room was already occupied. The third visit to the front desk resolved the issue and my colleague received an unoccupied room. We also made a reservation for the airport shuttle shown on the front desk flyer to be departing at 8:15 am. The next morning when we arrived in the lobby, we were told that the 8:15 shuttle actually departs at 8:00. That would have been good to know when we made the shuttle reservations the previous night. The rooms and breakfast offerings were consistent with other Country Inn properties, so no complaints there. Both shuttle drivers did a fantastic job. They were both very friendly and informative. It's a long ride from the airport to this "airport" hotel so that is very important. « less

Great locale near the Denver Airport. The breakfast is well run and varied. By the way, we checked out of a competitor across the street to remain in the Country Inn and Suites. Glad we did because this place manages to excel. Clean. Efficient and attentive staff. Very reasonably priced to manage a Denver business stay. « less

One night stay due to an early flight out of DEN. Expected breakfast at 6 AM today (Tues). Started loading car a little before 5 AM and noticed a full breakfast already set out. Room was very comfortable and bigger than one would expect for the price but what I have come to expect at this chain. Carlson hotels is my preferred brand any stay, and this one was just wonderful. Short ride down Pena to the airport and quiet little area with several resteraunts and not much else. « less

Today when I called to get the free airport shuttle, I was told the driver's name, a nice touch, and he came on time and promptly offered me a cold bottle of water from the shuttle cooler - another nice touch. When I mentioned that I was here to teach a class, he knew who I was and the layout of the meeting space I'd requested! At the desk, the attendant anticipated my arrival and had my keys and paperwork on the counter already. He offered me a free appetizer card for Urban Sombrero across the parking lot (which was inexpensive and awesome with a great bartender Jordan). The front desk staff offered cookies, reminded me of free breakfast hours, offered a wake up call, already scheduled my return shuttle to the airport in a few days, and mentioned the business center in case I needed to make a few copies before my hosted class. And then once I'd made it to my room, the lovely gentleman at the front desk called to see if all was right with my room. Very thorough and very helpful. I feel welcomed and appreciated and I just got here! My room has a big desk, large fridge, microwave, HBO chair and footstool...overall lovely. I've held a class here in their meeting space several times in the past few years. Monica in Sales was great and even honored rates I'd had several years back. She has been a pleasure to work with in getting the logistics for the space and attendees worked out. Great staff, great rates, great location, great space. Just book it :) « less

I recently had the pleasure to do a medical seminar at this property in Denver. The hotel and staff are very helpful. The morning breakfast time is well attended to by at least two staff. At any time during the time I spent at the hotel, did I see the breakfast food wane!! The evening reception was also well put on by the staff!! Good snacks and plenty of free cool beverages for all!
What I really have to do though, is thank the Sales Manager Christine for her fine service and attention to my needs out in Denver!! She is the best!! I wish i could clone her and have her at every hotel I do meetings in!!
Look forward to next time I come to Denver and stay at the Country Inn and Suites by Carlson. « less
