I was very pleased with our 2 night stay in a condo at Bahama Bay Resort. We booked a two room condo with a free upgrade to a 3 bedroom on bookit.com. We got a great price per night (6$65.00), so it wasn't so bad to pay the $80 cleaning fee. However, if the price per night were higher I don't know if I would be happy. The cleaning fee is for cleaning after you leave, there is no maid service. The resort is obviously very new, everything was in great condition and very clean. There are some areas of the resort still under construction. The condo has a full kitchen, master bedroom with a tub in the bathroom, room 2 was a double bed, and room 3 was 2 twin beds. The second bathroom had a walk-in shower, not a tub. There was also a washer and dryer and two small screened patios, one off of the living room and one off of the master bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, a few dish towels and a sponge, paper towels, dish soap and dishwasher detergent. The bathrooms had plenty of towels, pool towels, and typical hotel soaps and shampoos. There were extra linens and blankets and a high chair and a pack and play in the master bedroom closet as well. I didn't go anywhere else on the resort except for the clubhouse to check-in and out. There is a pool at the clubhouse, and one at the center of each group of condos. There is also a playground. We received a voucher for a free DVD rental from the clubhouse, but we didn't use it. There is a DVD player in the unit. The resort is in a currently undeveloped area off of 192, actually in Polk County. It's only about a 10 minute drive to Disney property, we took the toll road 429 to go to Disney to avoid traffic. There are lots of dining options nearby on 192 and also a Super Target. « less

This was our first time at the resort and when I booked it I was concerned that it might be a dump because of the price but it was great. Stayed here for the 4th time from April 18th to May 2nd as a family of 4. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom and were more than happy with it. There is a lot of subtle renovations going on - all the buildings are being painted, the kiddies splash area is being extended, the hot tubs were being re- tiled and the pool areas painted. BBQ grills were being added as were benches along the nature trail. All this was being done without disruption. The resort is lovely and the grounds are so well kept. The beach area is the perfect place to relax after a hectic day out and the cocktails served at the bar were yummy! The staff are friendly and polite and our condo was clean, spacious and well equipped. Plenty of shops and places to eat out close by and it was the perfect base for us. My husband and I stayed at Bahama Bay in March for two weeks. This was our second trip to Bahama Bay so we were familiar with the resort.
I don't think I could say enough good things about the resort. Everything was great; from the persons at the front desk to the maintenance crew we saw around the resort. Everyone was friendly and always there to help in any way they can.
We were in building 19; an Abiicos unit. The unit was a bit dated; the furniture had seen better days but we overlooked that. We did find out that the owners now are updating their units with new furniture, ,new paint and carpeting so one thing I would suggest is that you request an updated unit when reserving. We did reserve an Andros unit for a month next year again. Can't wait to go back. « less
