Not a bad stay, but compared to some of the other downtown LA properties (yes I did look at other properties while there) it is evident that there is some age to this property. Service was a bright spot and I appreciated everything that the customer service agent did at check in to get things started off on a good note.. However it really came down to dated and convenience issues in the room that let us down. Old peeling wall paper, air conditioning was not working in the room until I got them to fix it, bathroom space was very small for a suite, TV's were hard to control, no fridge and microwave (again for a suite at least a fridge would have been nice). Look out for the elevator - quite the drop to the stomach. Luckily for this property location is a nice premium. Attached to the hotel is a mini mall which my wife enjoyed along with having a walgreens right across the street. Exercise room on the top floor was very cool (but not told to us at check in so we found out from another guest). All in all, just ok... wont be my choice next stay unless they take some time to update and make the price paid for the rooms a little more worth it. Service and location are important and appreciated but only go so far when paying 200.00 a night - comfort and expectations really are important, too! « less

As with many other travellers we stayed here for a few nights as part of a longer trip in California. The reception staff were friendly enough but there was a significant problem when our party's reservations suddenly disappeared from the system despite having been there 6 days earlier. The problem was resolved, eventually, but the 'friendliness' seemed to vary according to the mood of the receptionist whilst the problem was dealt with. Eye contact and smiles disappeared when complications were being resolved. Staff training needed here. With regards the hotel and room I would agree with others that it was possibly in need of modernisation but adequate nevertheless. Location was good especially for the metro system across the road. (Why do they not advertise this more? Is it because taxis and cars are expected to be the only mode of transport? Not to us Europeans.) I did like the computer hub in the lobby. It was very helpful and easy to access. Overall it is a reasonable stop for a night or two. « less

We arrived early morning after a 15 hour flight & were very pleased that there was a room available. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Our room was comfortable & clean which is all you need when staying two nights. The top floor gym had great views & well equipped. We walked to the staples centre & travelled on the train with ease. The bar downstairs is handy for pre-dinner drinks & to watch sport on the numerous tv screens. Breakfast in the restaurant was very nice & the staff friendly. Only complaint would be no fridge in rooms & the wifi I paid for only worked in the hallway. « less

I am here for a convention and the front desk agent was very professional filled with knowledges. The location is very convenient and I can even walk to the Convention Center if I wanted and did! Shopping is right next door, fitness center is very accessible and the housekeeping staff is right on and especially in knowing the little clues to impress. Great Job! I recommend to all! « less
