We returned again for a 2 nights stay at the Clarion Inn in Rochester, MN. Their website is stating newly renovated rooms, however the room we had is exactly the same as it has been for the past several years. The room was clean but could use some renovation. It seems things have went down hill since we started staying there several years ago. Staff was friendly and helpful. They do have the free wifi in the rooms now. Pool still nice and clean as it has been. Also states about the dining room, however the only time the dining room is open is for breakfast and lunch. If you wish to eat dinner, you will be eating in the lounge area. Food was very good and you received alot of it. If you are wanting a nice quiet dinner like you used to have, this isn't the place to go. They are now advertising clinic rates, however if you are 60 or older, use the senior rate as it is a better deal. « less

We recently stayed at the Clarion in Rochester, MN for a hockey tournament. The entire staff could not have been more helpful - from the planning stages of our teams trip right through our entire stay. They helped create an affordable, healthy meal plan for our players. Not only was the food delicious, there was plenty of it to feed hungry young men. We also utilized the restaurant on several occasions. Again, the food was great. Winston in the bar was super friendly. He also helped track down a great zumba class for us! We were pleasantly surprised at the nightly karaoke - what a crowd. Super fun. Our team also had to rely on the hotel shuttle for trips to the rink and airport. They were very accommodating and patient. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel, but it was still a great place. Can't say enough about it. Ashley, the manager - Kudos to you for running such a nice hotel! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. « less

We had just gotten into town after driving 9 hrs and we were looking for a place to eat. This restaurant wasn't too far from our hotel so we decided to stop in. It turned out that they were having a karaoke contest that night and food was being served in the lounge, but not the restaurant. The hostess asked us if we wanted some place a little quieter to eat and we told her yes. They opened the restaurant for us and the lounge server made special trips back and forth to take our orders, get our food, etc. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice meal.
