The carpet in this room was very stained and dirty, we were put in a smoking room although I don't think we reserved a smoking room, the rear building door didn't close properly, so anyone could come in without a room key. Won't stay there again.

Went to the Hawkeye basketball game. Location is convenient for that. Services in that area served our needs. Desk employees were very inviting. Parting was easy. Room also served our needs. Stayed at this location several times in the past. I did detect a urine odor in the stairway area going up from the lobby area.

"Heater and booking issues."

The heater thermometer did not work, we could not cool off the room without turning the heat/AC unit off. We booked through Super 8. Our room cost was $68. They charged my cc $105; $10.50 was cancelation insurance which I did not want. The physical hotel said they only charged $68. $40 for the convenience of booking online is not business friendly.

We arrived at 12 midnight there was a new employee at the desk we were suppose to have a double bed but instead we received a room with a full bed I went back to the desk and spoke with him about the problem that I had a female employee with me and so I needed two beds after waiting a hour and a half he could not find a room I told him to give me the single room and I would sleep on the floor and I did there also was a couple of ladies trying to get a room he had checked them in so they went to the room and came right back and said there was a couple in there sleeping so they got a refund and left so the next morning I spoke with the manager and she told me that he was new and she put us in a new room with two beds it was not clean but we put our stuff in that room and the housekeeper was cleaning it I showed her where we put our stuff and told her we would be back after work.
