This was our first trip since Corvid 19, so we were really looking forward to it, but if this is the new norm it's our last hotel visit. The room was clean but the bathroom door wouldn't shut, no television, no housekeeping services during stay (no clean towels/no coffee refills), shower stall has no place to hold soap other than floor, although the shower floor was textured the flooring in the rest of the room became extremely slippery, the bed made a horrible sound and the left side of bed dropped about 4", so when the chair made a similar sound was afraid my husband was going to be dumped on the floor. Forget complimentary breakfast. Forget complimentary breakfast. And the PRICE same as when it was a pleasure to stay there!

"Over charged me and won't refund my money."

While visiting my Brother in the hospital I needed to I reserve a room for myself and my elderly parents. I looked up hotels close by and found this one. I called the online number to reserve the room and proceeded to book the room for myself and my parents. I have the online representative my information which included my credit card. He charged my credit card and all was good. When my parents and I left to go to the hotel we went to the front desk. They asked if I had a reservation and I replied yes, The desk clerk looked it up and found the reservation. He said he needed my credit card which I thought was normal because they have to have on on file. Little did I know they charged my credit card which made two charges for the same night. The next day I looked at my credit card charges and there were three charges. The first two were for $123.12 and a $7.99 service charge. In addition there was a $107.85 charge. When I asked the desk clerk he looked it up and said there was only one charge of $107.85. I thought, well maybe the first was a hold and would disappear after a day. All three charges went through on my card. By then I was back in Portland two hours away. My Parents were still there so I sent a screenshot to my Mom and she presented it to the desk clerk. He called his supervisor out and after a while the Supervisor finally admitted that I had indeed been charged twice. He told my Mom he would credit my account. It has not happened still to this day. I disputed the amount with my bank but they said they contacted Best Western and they could only see two charges that were different. The 17th and the 18th because I had paid for two days. The first online charge for the 17th of $123.12 and $7.99 they didn't see. Some how when you book online they cannot see it at the front desk. I still do not have my credit of at least one of those charges for the same day of the 11/17/19. This is absolutely ridiculous that they can't see a charge to their establishment. It does not appear the staff at this hotel care about overcharging their guests. Disgusted in Portland, Darren Smith.

"Over Charged"

I rented a room Sunday night 11/17 along with my parents. My Brother was in the hospital for open heart surgery after suffering a heart attack. I paid for the 17th and then the 18th. My parents then paid for the 19th, 20th and 21st. When I looked at my credit card statement there are three charges. My Mom asked the hotel desk clerk and he said I was charged twice but my statement clearly shows three processed charges for that Hotel. My mom checked her statement and she is charged for three as well. I believe I was charged twice for the 18th. I had a feeling when we switched who was paying there would be an issue when the clerk seemed to be struggling with the computer. I will attempted to get BW to pay back one of the charges. If not I'll have to get my Bank to cancel one. Room was nice and comfortable but being overcharged detracts from the comfort. Thank you, Darren Smith.

Nice staff. Well organized, clean room. Needs an additional towel rack by the sink for two people. MUSHY soft mattresses. Needs upgrade to firm. This is the only complaint: I specifically asked about mattress firmness twice, on phone before making reservation and at the desk, asking for a firm mattress. Both times I was given incorrect information that the mattresses were “firm.” At least train the staff to give the truth.

We are located just off I-5 minutes away from the Gateway Mall and Sacred Heart Medical Center. All of our guest rooms have micro/fridges, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and hi-speed internet. We also have on property outdoor pool, sauna, exercise room, guest laundry and complimentary continental breakfast. Dogs are allowed in a limited number of rooms for a fee of $10.00 a night. We also have a business center.
