The Hotel ZaZa is in need of a complete remodelling. The rooms are outdated and the air conditioning did not work! But the meeting rooms are very nice. The location is odd as Downtown Houston is abandoned, like so many of our city centers.

It was the size of a big closet. Very dark. Only had two bed lamps and a desk lamp. The window shade was broken. Walls, bed and floor were black. It was cold and I couldn't adjust for heat. The bath was very small. The glass vanity beautiful but the bowl was only about 10” diameter and about 5” deep. Water went every where when just washing your hands. I have stayed here many times and always enjoy the experience. Not this time. When I see Jeff or Charlie I will certainly express my disappointment.

We enjoy stays at ZaZa because of the little extras and service thats above and beyond.This time however the room felt old, window curtain torn and sewn, bathroom sink slow to drain and end table lamp shade broken. No one to answer at room service. short of staff? Leo at the concierge desk took my order and told me to skip calling the restaurant or room service and instead dial one for those requests. What happened to the ZaZa experience?.

I made reservations accidentally at the Museum Hotel. I notified the Hotel and the lady quickly removed my reservation. I then made reservations at ZAZA Memorial District, which I enjoyed greatly for the two day stay. Unfortunately when I made my initial reservations I used Hotel planner. I have contacted them several times, hoping they would notify ZAZA at Museum District that I could get my funds back. It looks like that won't happen. I have no problem with the ZAZA Memorial facility, it was great. I assume I am out close to 860.00 because I made an reservation error. I would give my two day stay at Memorial a five star experience. Again, I did not stay at ZAZA Museum District.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nicely appointed. The pancakes were the best ever! We also had tomato bisque and a cheeseburger bother were excellent. We were very pleased and would highly recommend.
