Hotel Corpus Christi Bayfront, at 601 N. Water Street is located one block from the Bay and Marina in the heart of Corpus Christi's downtown business district. The hotel stands on the site formerly occupied by the historic Nueces Hotel, once considered the finest hotel in the state. Built in 1913, the Nueces Hotel was destroyed as a result of Hurricane Celia in 1970.On the site of the old Nueces Hotel arose the current ten-story hotel which was known for a time as the Ramada Inn Bayfront, La Quinta Royale, Bayfront Plaza Hotel, Corpus Christi Royale and Royale Nueces. In 2008, the hotel was purchased and renamed the Hotel Corpus Christi Bayfront.Hotel Corpus Christi is only fifteen minutes from the Corpus Christi International Airport and is in easy walking distance from all the downtown entertainment fun and activities. Offering many amenities in addition to Atruim Lobby, it provides guests with over 16,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, the city's largest hotel ballroom and much more.
