"Amazing Service"
Overall Score5.0/ 5
This was my 3rd visit to Hyatt Lost Pines and I was so impressed by the service I received during this trip! From checkin to checkout, EVERYONE was five star! The blonde short haired woman at checkin was extremely helpful, I feel she went above and beyond what was needed to help me. So friendly. The servers at the restaurant were all patient and extremely kind to our large group of moms and 5th grade boys. The servers at the pool regularly checked on us to refill drinks and provide assistance when needed. Not once did we have to go looking for service or go to the bar to get served. They came to us and were friendly. At one point the hotel was out of SB white wine, so the waiter brought a member of our group two alternative white whine options and offered to let her keep both. One situation really stood out. The group of boys were biking around the property. Several boys took bikes down the hill from the pool 🏊♀️ n the riverside. One of the boys could not break. The bikes are cruisers, not mountain bikes. He went flying into the flooded Colorado River. My son pulled him out. The young man with valet, Cam, was there when it happened, waiting on a wedding party that was taking photos in the spot at the same time. He got on my so''s phone and spoke to me, saying he was calling an ambulance for the boy. I ran from the pool with the other mothers and quickly arrived at the scene to find the the boy who fell in the river safely in Cams golf cart freezing. Cam proceeded to try to fetch the bike and the boys croc from the river but quickly was fully in the river floating with bike and croc. I followed him along the bank to help get the employee and bike out. We were successful. We got the bike, the croc and Cam back out safely. Cam was so calm for having been floating away with the bike and croc and he was completely soaked and smelly with river water. The boy was ok, but very shook up. The wedding party witnessed everything. Afterwards, Cam stayed and waited for the wedding party to finish their photos, despite being completely soaked and having been in the river. He remained so professional, as if unphased by the incident. I fetched everyone towels. I really wanted to recognize Cam for his service to Hyatt and his commitment to retrieve the property's bike and the boys shoe from the river. I wanted to point out though, that it was maybe a risky decision. Probably he should have just let it all float away, rather than risk his life going in the river to retrieve. Fortunately no one was injured and the boys have a really great “boy” story to tell for life The grounds looked amazing with all of the native landscaping and gardens. Fishing, biking, running around—the boys had the best trip of their lives! We will definitely be back and give Cam some major kudos for his calm and action, followed by commitment to his job even soaking in river water. Thank you for a great stay! Whatever you are doing to keep your employees happy and helpful is working! Keep up the great work!
