In the Temecula and San Diego Wine Country Region. Beach and Wild Animal Park within a half hour drive. Zagat rated our golf "excellent". Three major casinos within a ten minute drive. Hiking, Horseback riding, spas all within minutes. All major San Diego attractions are a convenient drive.

There aren't a lot of options in the Fallbrook area. I was attending a wedding there. This is my second time staying at the Pala Mesa Golf Resort and it was just as good as the first time. The beds are ok. They could use an upgrade to the frame because when my husband got in and out of the bed it was bit like an earthquake. Not enough to disturb my sleep but noticeable. The showers could use a better shower head but I complain about most hotels in that area. The water pressure wasn't horrible, the water just came out a bit strange. The room was clean, pretty comfortable, very spacious and a nice atmosphere, a bit woodsy. It wasn't very expensive so I would stay here again.

In need of major renovations! The decor was outdated but clean. In need of some sound reduction materials on the walls/doors. I was able to hear everything happening outside and in the room next door. Entire property needs some attention.

I stayed for my sisters wedding and the venue itself is beautiful. The giant spiders everywhere is kind of off putting as well. However, the resort hotel was pretty poor. The rooms were beautiful, but the WiFi was down and the room isn't equipped with the basics of a holiday inn express hotel, but charges more. The ice machines in our building area did not work properly. The beds were terrible and sunk terribly in the middle. We got locked out of our room at some point because both our key cards stopped working, the same happened with some of wedding guests.

The over experience here is great. The grounds are beautiful. The tent and catering for a wedding are superb. The hospitality is top notch. My only complaints are that the hot tub is lukewarm and the beds leave something to be desired. They're extremely bouncy if your partner moves a muscle or feels like they're doing backflips and the pillows are flat like they've been pulled out of a vacuum sealed bag. Just flat flat flat. But, the room is big and has a great terrace to enjoy in the morning. I'm not a golfer so can't soeak to any of that part.
