I was quoted a price on the phone compared to the price I was charged on my card by $50. The overall smell in the hotel was funny and the room had stained cushions and floor.

My 19 year old son was traveling to Virginia for a job interview from NY state. I called this hotel to see if I could book this hotel because it stated online you had to be 21 yearly old. I was told no and then they spoke to the manager who replied no as well. I was then Texted by the representative that I could book and to call back. I called back and was told I could book the room and my son who was 19 could check in. I asked the representative on the phone to make a note with the reservation that they understood he was 19 and he was allowed to check in. My son arrived in Virginia at 9:30 pm and was not allowed to check in. I called the number from the text and spoke to a person that told me they could not do anything and I would not receive a refund as I had not cancelled the reservation. I had my son go back to the hotel and hand his cell phone to the clerk who informed me they could not check in a person 19 years old in the state of Virginia. I begged the man to help and he did get my son an alternate booking at a neighboring hotel but I am very upset, disappointed and angry with the individual who gave me false information. Thank to the hotel clerk for going above and beyond but the reservation process sucks and is very unprofessional!
