As I entered the Sea Trail resort, the grand entrance welcomed me. The tree lined road with gulf courses surrounding were a breath of fresh air as I approached the registration/conference center building. The resort offers three golf courses and has 40,000 s.f. of convention space. All overnight accommodations are villa/condominiums and are fully furnished. The conference center is elegantly designed with marble tile floors and pillars and has large pre-function areas throughout the center. The meeting rooms have high ceilings, excellent light décor and lighting. Behind the conference building are the outdoor garden which are used frequently for events and weddings. The front desk staff was gracious and friendly. The resort has 2,000 acres and is spread out offering a very peaceful environment. They have a full service restaurant, two club houses and lounge. I toured a one bedroom villa which included a combination kitchen/living area and bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, furniture is beautiful traditional style heavy dark wood, couches and chairs were all higher end and in excellent condition. The bathroom resembled that of a four star hotel. All linens looked brand new and each unit had a screened in porch or balcony. The suites contained a washer and dryer, iron/ironing board, microwave and full sized refrigerator. Each suite connects to a studio suite and can be utilized as a two bedroom unit, or rented individually. The Activities Center houses an outdoor swimming pool, locker rooms and sauna. The property has some wear on it and requires some cosmetic maintenance. The resort is a great option for large convention groups requiring space, furnished living areas and who like to golf. The remote country location offers serene landscape and is a short drive to the beach, restaurants and local attractions.
